    Default Jim Clark Film Festival

SCCA & vintage racer Bob Lembcke sent me a link to a Hemmings story on a Jim Clark Film Festival being held in England later this month. Jim Clark must have been a hero to many of us.

I recieved my SCCA competition license on April 7, 1968, the day Jim Clark died.

I still remember where I was and at what time I heard the news about my hero's death on TV.
In his memory I now own/run the Gemini MKII Formula Junior that he drove in his single seater debut race on Boxing Day 1959 at Brands Hatch.
He may be gone, but not forgotten.

The Gemini that Jim Clark drove I have seen variously mentioned as A Gemini Ford and as Gemini BMC with Rytune motor. What motor did it race with and were the carbs SU or weber?

My father is a huge fan of Jimmy Clark, and as a result, I have two middle names. If you ever get a chance to go to Duns, the museum is small, but filled with neat stuff. You can't take pictures, but I snuck this one of the entrance. Seeing video of him drifting sedans in England is really cool. I wish I had been around to meet him, sounds like he was a very down to earth guy who enjoyed the farm more than racing.
