    Default Penske Shock Remote Mount

    I am looking for a source for Penske shock remote reservoir mounts.

    I really would rather not pay someone to fab them up, at least someone that isn't already tooled up and just needs to punch go on the CNC machine.

    Anyone know where I can buy these little goodies?

    Rick,

    Thanks, I will give Greg a try.

    The last time I talked to Greg we had dinner at Tarpy's Road House while we were both at a Laguna Seca race, about 10 years ago. Time flies when you are getting old.

    Cheers,

    Bill

    I got mine from Greg as well. Nice pieces. Had to modify them slightly to make them work for the FOX Shocks, but should work OK for then Penske right out of the box.

    Hey Bud;

    I had some of these made to secure the reservoir to the chassis of my RF-94/95 (water-jet). At both ends of the "figure eight" are locating dowels, so it is VERY secure. Looks great but spendy. After you check all other possible solutions and if interested, call. My cost was $37.50, plus a few bucks for honing. So the math is going to be fairly straight forward.

    If I were to do it again, I would have them "tumble polished" and/or anodized for a real nice finish.

    In the new Longacre catalog they sell something similar to what Rick shows. It might be easier to buy them there.

    When I had some of these remote reservoir dampers, I used modified ignition-coil mounting brackets (free - I had them lying around) to secure them.

    something I tried (and still use on the front of the car) take 4 adel clamps, two of the reservoir size and two of the size of the tube you'll be clamping to. make a 1" x 4" or so aluminum bar and drill holes such that it will be sandwiched beteen the legs of the clamps. drill out one leg of each clamp for a rivnut. You now have a cheapo reservoir mount.
