So I just got back from Laguna Seca. The FF race today was a genuine barn burner.

Brett Smrz made a pass on Alex Schutte to take the win that can only be described as Zanardiesque.

Brett Smrz, Alex Schutte, Viktor Sinzig and Peter Nosler drove the whole race in a very swift pack of DB6's, all race long. The only kink in the whole affair was James Hakewell had to start at the back of the pack with a broken clutch, so could not make the race for P1 even more intense.

Although it was not official when I left, I believe Brett Smrz broke the FF race track record during the session, great stuff.

The CF race (the race within a race) had all the potential to be just as intense, but a broken motor by the new track record holder Chuck Horn handed an otherwise well earned win to an up and coming Justin Hansen.

All in all, some pretty great racing. What could be better, Laguna Seca in October, sunshine and 70 degree weather, nice.
