I've been using Motul 5100 synthetic blend 15W50 in my Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 drysumped engine for 2 yrs now with good results. $32.00/gal @ the local mc shop.

I did some Googling a month or so ago and found a few comparison articles. IIRC, Amsoil did the best. However, I went with FormulaSuper's advice because Amsoil is pricey and not easy to find. As you probably already know, don't use automotive oil because our engines/trans/clutches need different characteristics.

    I went for the Amsoil 10 w 40........

With the George Dean wet sump on the Suzuki GSXR it took 4 1/2 quarts, which included a new Fram PH6018 filter.

    Default 1 vote for redline

I've used redline 40wt racing in both the old and new kawi zx10r motors. No problems with clutches, etc. Its good to 300 degrees with no water circulating too.

Just make sure you use a motorcycle rated oil. If you use an "automotive" oil, your clutches witl start to slip. Redline has a motorcycle oil, that is supposed to be real good, don't know the price though. Repsol has a good full synthetic oil the about $5 a liter.
