Default Late Model Van Diemen Conversion Kit

The conversion process has begun. The chassis is a 1999 Van Diemen with 2001/3 updates. The engine is a 2005/6 GSXR1000. I am using Matt Conrads dry sump system. Once the prototype is complete, kits will be offered at a very reasonable cost.

The goal is to provide all of the fabricated bits so that an average mechanic could do the entire conversion in a weekend or two. See the initial pictures at

The builder wants to complete the solid works models before going public with the kits, so for now this is all of the detail that I can divulge...

Sounds like a great plan, Sean. Good luck, and I look forward to watching it progress

... and seeing it in person at the ARRC this Fall, right? There may be quite an interesting array of F1000's there.

    Default Arrc

    Russ,

I will be there - no doubt. My builder is committed to having my car done by mid June. I plan to run all of the SE Div Nationals left as well as Pocono if I can fit it in. Then I will concentrate on the ARRC for the fall season...
