Agnif,
was doing a bunch of horse trading to end up with the 2nd Reynard for Jr. Kind of a red paper clip deal that started with a Miata.

1969 i first bought an Austin Healy 3000 for $150.00: T-Boned by Caddy in Hotel parking Lot in New Jersey, Totaled. Her name was Tanya, and she lived off Exit 5 on the turnpike. I blamed her for the crash, never saw her again.
Some Renault, engine in rear: Burned Up in roll over contest with friends, prior to knowing about roll over valves.
Lotus Cortina, traded for partial ownership in 1950's Chevy Panel Truck that took me on a 5 Year road trip. Most memorable event was Lydia in Kansas wheat field.
59 Bug Eye, crashed on mountian road in Califorinia chasing a Saab. Abandoned due to lack of Drivers Licence.
Pinto, stolen [yes Stolen]: Recovered by cops who called at 1:30 AM to ask, "where i was" when robbery occured.
Got to drive Dad's 1961 MGA, crashed it.
Got to drive Dad's GT500 Mustang, crashed it.
Never got to drive another of Dad's cars again.
1968 Lotus 51, sold, still around Central Maryland.
Crossle 45F, sold, in Atlanta area.
89 Van Diemen F2000, sold still running in EMRA.
Ralt RT5, garaged Atlanta.
Swift SE3, running in SE.
Swift DB4, running in NW.
2001 Diasio D962, sold, running in Georgia
1971 Datsun 510, G/P-B/S, awaiting engine.

Having just acquired my first solo-owned race car, I figured I'd bring this old thread up from the dead. Neat topic—it's fun to see what cars you guys have owned to now.
With the list as extensive as some of you have, I'm also wondering what cars you'd still want to own that you haven't yet? My 23-year dream car has always been a Swift DB1, which I now have finally gotten, but I would love to someday own and restore an original ADF MkII. My short list is really short, and I'm pretty happy to have this car, so I can't see much further than this.
Back to the top... what's your list?

All of the race cars were restored from bare shells or bare frames, as appropriate...
Other interesting cars that I own right now, in addition to the three race cars...1959 Mini Deluxe, 1961 MG Midget (earliest surviving left hand drive car, made before production officially began), 1964 Mini Traveller (the one with the wood on the sides), 1980 MGB Limited Edition (one of the last 250 cars made for Canada). And a 1978 Suzuki GS400 and a Royal Enfield Bullet 500 with a side car. These are mostly waiting for restoration when I retire.

In chronological order:
Lola T-590 S2 (ex Jim Trueman car, first logbook had a picture of the car in Red Roof Inns livery, sitting in the front yard of his house, wish I still had this car!)
Lola T-598 S2
Swift SE-3 FC (a blast to drive, and tough to boot, you could bang wheels and not end up replacing parts right and left)
Van Diemen RF97 FC (a tight fit many moons and many pounds ago, probably couldn't even begin to wedge myself into this car in my wildest dreams now.)
Van Diemen RF02 Pinto FC (tons of fun but look at a wishbone wrong and it's bent)
Van Diemen RF03 Zetec
Have to admit some of the funnest racing I experienced was in Skippy's rent a rides in the early 80's, and then when co-owning the Lola 590 with a buddy, when we were both so green behind the ears we wouldn't have recognized a proper set-up if it hit us over the head. And tires weren't used up until you could see cords.
Then, as now, the pile of money you start with is always much larger than the pile you finish with no mater what the car (kinda like my 401k statements) but the fun factor has definitely been priceless.
Interesting reading about the expanse of racing history owned by members of the ApexSpeed community.

2003 Van Diemen Zetec. Bought new and will be my last race car. I retired from a 31 year job in 2003 and race on a limited budget so no money for buying another car. Modified to FS class to run at the front of SF region Group 2 races. I will drive it till I'm to old to win.
It's all been good. Darrell

Van Diemen FF - RF98K (2003-present) (former Stadel car)
Spec Miata 1995 1.8 (2007-present) (former Coello car)
I am very happy with Steve's VD, it would seem, having run it in 78 races and planning to run it again in '09.
I feel out of place 'till my current:
'67 BMW 1600-2 (Solo 1 & Rally Car)
'68 BMW 1600-2 (IMSA RS, also ran as B Sedan, GT-3)
'76 BMW 320i (IMSA RS, yes really a '76 pre production car...)

Road cars stupidly traded in for new cars--if only I had known about Barrett Jackson back in the 60 and 70s
62 Corvette basic 327 4sp
64 Chevy Impala 425HP 409 4 spd Posi Convertible! How many of those were made!
67 Camaro 396CI 375HP coupe (converted from road car in 69 and won 1970 S/S-C at IRP at that time the Natl Champ in Super Stock C in NHRA)sold right after race for what I paid for it initially in 67
69 Camaro Z-28 w/ 4wh disc brake option
Zink Z18-B (FV) 1984-1987.
Originally bulit by Ed Zink for Wayne Moore for the '82 Run-Offs (DNS).
The car went from Wayne Moore to Bill Noble (for Dave Smith), to Dave Smith (The RACE PLACE), to Dave Schlueter (who ran it in FV-20, DNF), back to Dave Smith again (who rented it to Dave Harris for the '84 June Sprints, DNF), to me (Glenn Lange, 1st to get a finish !!!), to Paul Esterly(for son Kenny), to Paul Epifanio, to Tim Diebold, to Sam Gorgey, to ???(current whereabouts unknown).
I swear the car's been passed around more than a loose girl at Mardi-Gras.
Caracal-C (FV) 1988-Present
First C-chassis made by Fred Clark, I bought as a kit and have been building-rebuilding-adapting-modifying-morphing, and re-re-re-building ever since.
Won the '98 Chicago Region Champ Series with this car.
I've really grown into it (both in skill and belly size) and don't plan on selling it until I retire. Bringing it back out in 2012 to run SCCA Regionals if time & $$$ permits.
1966 Crusader (FV) 2008-Present
Aquired this gem from Bill Milner when he passed away in '08.
Don't know the entire history yet, except that he bought it from Mike Kitzmiller.
The car, surprisingly, fits me with just a pedals modification. Bringing this beauty out in 2012 to run VSCDA.
