I didn't own any part of the first or second car since I was a kid when Dad got into club racing.

Formula 440 (no idea what make)
    1972 Merlyn - FF

Then once I graduated college and had a job we were able to split the costs on:

    1990 Reynard 90SF - FC
    1994-5 VanDiemen - FC
    1999 VanDiemen - FC

Default Glad I'm getting into this one early!

Just so the new people on to this forum don't think EVERYONE ELSE on this site has owned cars by the dozen. In the order that I drove them:

    - Swift DB2 S2000 (Loaned to me for driver school and reg'l race by Dave Miller)
    - Lazer MKII FV (assembled from a kit with lots of support from Larry Campbell and Bob Lybarger)
    - Lola 340/342 (wanted to go faster and shift more often, I also HATED changing FV gearboxes!)
    - Van Diemen RF95 FC (purchased a little more than 2 years ago)

The VD 'satisfies' my goal to own a 'modern' race car, one which uses at least some technology less than 35 years old... Unless I can con Matt Conrad into trading me an F1K-07 for lift tickets!

    Dave
    Springstein, Madonna
    way before Nirvana
    there was U2 and Blondie
    and music still on MTV...

    Dulon MP15-B F/F
    81 VanDiemen F/F My favorite!
    78B March F/A
    86 Ralt RT4 F/A
72 Datsun 510 Vintage B-Sedan racecar Still have it and will never sell it!
    89 Swift DB4 F/A
    79 Ralt RT1 F/A Ex "works car"
76 Lola 440 F/F Never drove it! Too scary for me!
    77 Datsun 200SX GT3
01 Nissan 240SX GT3 Gota sell this car so I can make it an even 10!

All in order. Now if you want to talk about street cars,.....I just couldn't type that much!

I cut this out of a Readers digest when I was a kid and it now hangs in my office. I don't know who wrote it, but it's very true.

Inhabitants of another planet may one day visit our dead and ravaged world and come upon a salvage lot full of wrecked cars. "This was their religon" they will say. They will be right. author unknown.

    Default ok i'm in

First time on this Merry-Go-Round (1968-1976):

not OW, but important: 1963 Porsche 356B Super (got me started in autocross in college)
..................................1964 Porsche 356 SC (more autocross) OMG, I really want it back!

Beach 5C FV - more autocross until 1969- drivers schools etc
Zink Z4 FV - more competitive car than the Beach
Elden PH10 FF - standard body, not Falconer (had a chance to make $, pd:2600, sold 4500)
.......................didn't need 2 race cars and was really into FV so sold to fund the FV effort
.......................only raced a couple of times, wish I still had it.
Caldwell D10 FSV - early model, Type 3 motor, before Hewlands allowed.
...........................totalled at exit of T12 at Rd. Atl., when it was a dirt bank.
...........................still have what is left of the motor and 4 original Minilite wheels.
Zink Z4 FV - got me back on the horse

Then came the kids......, so no race cars for a while.

First one out of college started the Modern Era: (1999 - )

Caldwell D13 FV - didn't own, but did a ground-up in exchange for driver school use.
    Crossle 45F FF1600
Crossle 35F FF1600 - basket case, but didn't complete it because of current car:
    Crossle 71F FF2000 -

Default Oooooay this could take a while..

Car, Class, Year (s) Owned, (Notes)

AH Sprite GP 1981 (got it at 16, never raced it)
Home built FV (once owned by Kendall Smith of Ocelot DSR fame) 1985
Autodynamics Mk4 FV 1986 (wish I still had this for vintage racing)
    Ford Escort ITB 1993
Dodge Neon SSB 1995 (worst racecar I've ever owned or driven, if you can call it a racecar)
84F Reynard FF 1998 Cliff Johnson, Russ Rudeseuli, and about 3-4 other folks who all had great success in it. My first FF, fond memories...)
Lola T342 FF 1999 (Took it on trade in toward the 84 Reynard, bought and sold many times to different people)
93 Citation FC 1999 (I like Richard Pare and Steve Lathrop, but geez guys could you build a car a little easier to work on...)
Royale RP24 FF 1999 (rental car)
Swift DB1 FF 2000 (1984 model, never drove it, gave it to Justin to drive for the season)
88F Reynard FF 2000 (Traded the crispy Citation to Bert Swift in KC for the Reynard)
Van Dieman RF 98 FF 2001 (shared it with Justin)
Van Dieman RF 86 FF 2004 (great car, wish I coulda kept it)
Royale RP 24 CF 2005 to present (This is noit the same one as the previous RP24, and I plan to keep it for a long time)

Note: Except for the recent Royale, I've not owned a SINGLE racecar for more than one racings season.

Oh for the money I pissed away in that inevitable search for the perfect ride........
And yes, there are many mant more racecars I've driven but not owned. I did a ton of trading drivers for wrenching in my day!
