Just got off the phone with John - he's using Brewers car for the race this weekend (the FC is far from finished!). It apparently was wet at the start of qualifying for todays session, so John waited in the pits on old tires (last years tires from before the Runoffs)until the last few minutes, went out for a couple of laps and posted the 2nd quickest time. Hopefully the track will be dry tomorrow & he can get out on some fresher tires.
Don't know what was happening with Dave W. in FC - he was only 13th or something like that. Coello is apparently absolutely flying!
Thanks for the update Richard.... It would of been intresting to see what John's new ride could do. In the off season, our project is to apply all the spares I brought from John to our '93.

OK Guys,Somebody have the results???
1. LaRue 2. Gale Stokkers 3. Tim Dunn Great battle at the front with LaRue, Cliff Johnson, Stokkers, Dunn, Bill Kephart & Mike Koltoff, I think all but Koltoff led at one point, these cars were nose to tail the entire race.Jeff</p>
Who was that upside down in the gravel at Canada Corner? What happened? Is he OK?
Craig Jones
It was John Luxon and John Vlasis that got together in Canada Corner. Luxon ended up upside down in the Kitty Litter. Luxon is just fine, his Piper looked rough, but could have been much worse considering the circumstances.
FF had a very good race which should be expected with the quality of people who showed up at this event. At the start I ran with Cliff in his new Piper for a few laps swapping the lead and then Tim Dunn (DB6) came up and he and I swapped it out a few times. I was finally able to break the draft and pulled out a bit of a margin over the pack. From what I was told the last few laps were great racing 2-4.
I would like to thank Chuck Brewer who "sponsored" the effort by allowing me the use of his ICP/Citation. It took a bit to get used to it, but it is a super ride! I had no idea how the car would respond to changes with some of the small differences between our cars so we played the guessing game most of the weekend, but came up on the good side. Although I hate to say it, and will really hate to see it I would be remiss in not saying that this car is for sale with a nice spares package. It certainly would (will) be a contender at Runoffs as well as any other event and is very well sorted.
Chuck's number is 513.520.0132.
Cheers,
John
Well done! It sounds like it was a great race. As far as Chuck's car goes, any car that can win the Sprints can with the Runoffs!

Every now and then you get a great race where there is are a lot of changes in position and a great fight for the lead and this was one of them. I qualified 7th but made a good start and got into 3rd place behind Cliff going into turn one. Cliff and John traded the lead a few times and I managed to get into the lead a few times myself. I got pushed back to 5th when a group drafted past including Stokkers and Kephart. A lap or two later Kephart got a wheel under Cliff going into 5 that ended Cliff's day. I worked my way back into 2nd but John was about 3 seconds up the road by then with just a couple of laps left.. On the last lap, Stokkers and Koltoff drafted by going into 1 but I got Mike K. back going into 3 so it ended up LaRue, Stokkers, Dunn, Koltoff. With the Runoffs in Topeka the Sprints may be the biggest race of the year...
