Default San Francisco Region Computers Stolen!

Last saturday night some low life stole the 4 Lap Top computers that we (San Francisco Region) use for timing and scoring. The breakin happened at the Laguna Seca Timing and scoring tower . I don't know all the details but needless to say it was not easy to complete the weekends races without the data from saturdays qualifying sessions. To the great credit of our club and it's members replacement computers were borrowed and the races on Sunday were scored in good order. The cost to the Region to replace these computers will be substantial. I have donated $1000 to the region for the cost to replace the stolen computers. If you think I have lots of money to burn you're wrong. But I challenge any other members of the San Francisco region to make a donation of ANY size for this expense. $10,$20,$50??? Any amount would help. Call the club office at 1-888-995-7222 (it's toll free!)

    Default Guarding the wrong things

Late Saturday nite, with plenty of time to kill til Sunday's 150 PM race time, I thought I'd walk the track with a big long cigar. Starting at pit out, I hardly had time to look at the T-11 trap before I was "summarily apprehended" and informed County rules "don't allow anyone on track after race hours" or some such convoluted legalese. Don't you think that guy could've been guarding something a little more valuable than 2.25 miles of asphalt?
