[Forum Tip] Use the SEARCH feature

I see it happen on just about every forum I visit. Someone (whether it be a newbie or someone who isn't a fanatic on the site) will post a question that has previously been asked time and time again on the forums. The replies (if any) are often short and can seem rude giving the entire post a relatively agressive/defensive flavor. I find myself being not as cordial as I usually am when someone posts the same question for the umteenth time only to reply with links to the topics they are asking about when I search for them. So when in doubt, please SEARCH first and then if you don't find the answer to your question, then go ahead and post something new. You could even reply to an old thread from years ago if it is still relevant information. Doing so will leave you less likely to be attacked by the ApexSpeed fanatical pitbulls!

Is there a way to search user locations? I.e. if someone wanted to search “Florida” to find members in Florida? Understand some users don’t necessarily fill out their profile field, but most do and this could be useful.

If you go to the "Community" section, you can search the member list by location. Off to the right of that page is a "Search" option that you can do advanced searches for location or whatever else is in a user profile.
