hi Folks,

I'm looking for some experienced folks who have shipped cars across country. What companies have you worked with or would recommend? What would it cost to ship a car from Colorado to Florida? Thanks for the help.

call exotic car transport in the greater orlando area - 407-654-9949. they brought me a car from michigan to orlando and i never left the city limits - they also handled the money - they have trucks in different positions at different times on the roads spread out across the nation, so all you need do is call them - they can coordinate their and your schedules -great price when i had shopped around - great service - years of experience - eye would use them again

I also have shipped several formula cars cross-country, most recently thru Platinum Auto Transport. The key is making sure they understand the uniqueness of our cars: 1) They can't be driven onto the truck, 2) they have almost no ground clearance, 3) they are pretty fragile compared to what they are used to.

You'll require an enclosed trailer, and if you have any spares you are shipping they'll need to be packed up securely. On the positive side, our cars weigh almost nothing and don't take up much space. It cost me about $1500 to ship from NY to San Diego, so I'd think $1,000 or so to Florida would be reasonable. You might check with transporters out of Denver or Grand Junction----somone who has cars going through I-70 routinely.
