MARRS single car qualifying

Since it looks like it will be a small field this weekend, we'd like to suggest a staggered start for qualifying allowing only a few cars on the track at a time for open laps. Would SCCA allow this if it fit into our session time? Like start one car, wait about 15 seconds then start the next car, etc. Each car do only a few laps and pull in. Would this work?

To do this formally would require a modification to the Supps (which isn't likely). But, there is nothing to prevent the participants from doing this informally. It would mean that you would need to contact everyone in the group before the session starts and get their agreement. Even if one or two people don't agree, that wouldn't stop the rest of you from doing what you have in mind. Good luck getting everyone (or even most) to agree.

Sounds like an interesting idea if all the drivers were at the same level of familiarity with the track. For those drivers who have either never been to a given track, or have only been once in the past year or two, it wouldn't seem fair.

track time is limited enough as it is. Why on earth would we want to limit it even further. Plus with only 13 cars entered, getting clear laps isnt a problem.
