Has anyone received their latest issue of Formula Car magazine?
Rob mentioned a mailing for a late February delivery, but I haven't seen anything in my mailbox yet. Wondering if it "disappeared" from my apartment mailbox...
Thanks,
Erik

Hi guys,
The new issue of FormulaCar is currently in the mail and features our inaugural Year in Pictures. I'm very happy with the issue and we've already started pre-production on the first issue of Volume 3, which will be the Season Preview.
I would expect the magazine to begin landing early next week.

Got my issue today! Great photo on page 27 of Thunderhill Park. I think the yellow VD in the photo is our own Doug Brenner NP devision Champion for 2004! You can't tell by this angle but this track has some great Uphill/Downhill stuff (3 miles/15 turns!) BUT-the caption sayes "Spring-time in SoCal. WRONG!!! Thunderhill is owned and operated by the SAN FRANCISCO region of SCCA and located about 120 miles NORTH of San Francisco. We are blessed to have Laguna Seca,Sears Point and Thunderhill in NORTHERN CA. All they have for permanent road courses in Southern CA is Buttonwillow and Willow springs. YUC!
My bad.
Sorry guys, I thought I changed that after my graphic designer laid in the dummy caption.

Sorry Rob! It's a new day and I'm in a better mood. Thanks for another great issue of FC mag with lots of great pic's! Nice to see more club racers and even some west coast guys at that. Page 29 "the colors of Formula Ford". Keep up the good work.
No worries, D.T. I've been in this business long enough not to take it all personally. I'm happy you enjoyed the new issue and the West Coast coverage. I'd love to get more contacts on the WC so that we could include more race reports. As always, FCM is a work in progress and its an area that we will be working on it 2005.

All those race car pictures are nice and all, but the golf cart race should win a pulitzer (or whatever awards photographs win) !
Got mine same time as Hutch did. Still no swag though.
:-)

Yeah I agree Matt, but after looking at the photo, contrary to the story as I have heard it or can remember since, that evening in question, (I/we were elbows deep doing a code red rebuild on a Zetec and was not a participant/spectator) it appears to me that Mr. St. Clair was kicking that CASCAR driver's ass! -DaveAll those race car pictures are nice and all, but the golf cart race should win a pulitzer (or whatever awards photographs win) !

Hi Darrell, That is Doug (in my old 94) with yours truly just behind (barely visible) on page 27.
Beautiful up there at Thunderhill Ranch during spring but by summer the hills are all brown and the heat is stifling hot.
Also received my copy yesterday. Great Mag. I've re-upped for another year.

Dave -
Rob did have him beat, but when comparing the equipment capability, its like an FA driver bragging about beating an FF.
As much as I would love to have beating that particular driver on my resume, lol, it was Miller behind the wheel of the second golf cart. If my memory serves, the driver of the pictured cart was suffered from a tight conditon, a bit of understeer, I think. Or was it 'upandoversteer'?

Let's be completely honest here people....
St. Clair was sporting a supped-up 2 seater with no roof and lower center of gravity.... obviously no governer and bigger engine displacement.
I had the off the lot rental cart with full weight penalty and no mods....
Those that were lucky enough to be in attendance could see that I clearly dominated all the heats and the feature (even when St. Clair tried to back up into me - nearly taking the steering wheel off causing damage to my green machine). I was proud to have claimed the first ever Sebring GolfCart World Championship - as I was apparently one of the only entries that did not try to "eject" themselves off their vehicle and it clearly stayed "shiny side up" through the duration.
And yes.. I was coming around to lap St. Clair there Matt... just look at the ole man there... he is 8 feet off the apex
I'd like to thank Rob Howden and FormulaCar for their undying support.... without I would have been watching from the sidelines as St. Clair rolled his cart instead of nearly hitting him.

Dave.... I don't think you can ever really get "used" to it.
