I own a 1971 Alexis Mk18B ff1600. I am trying to find out as much about the model as I can but I have not even seen a picture of another 18B in the time I have owned mine. I wondered if there was many 18B's over in the States or Canada. I found an old advert on the net describing an 18B that was owned by Carl Goodwin, who is, I am told a well known motorsport journalist in the US. The phone number and email address in the ad are no longer live so I am at a dead end. I understand between 20 and 25 cars were made so I would think there must be a few left. Any ideas guys?????.

    Thanks
    Adrian (UK)

    Adrian,
    There's a picture of a MK-18 in Nickless's book.
I have a MK-15. Best I've been able to figure is around 55 MK-14's, 33 Mk-15's and 10 MK-18's. I have some copies of Alexis literature if you're interested. I did run into a MK-18 at Gingerman that some fellow was trying to sell. However it had MK-18 bodywork.

Thanks for the information regarding Alexis ff. I have had several mails and images from very helpful members on this site, thanks to everyone!!. I have been sent an image of the picture in S Nickless book and I will now try to track down a copy of the book myself. I would be very grateful for any historical literature or images you may have. If it is possible for you to scan them for me and email them it would be great!. I did not realise the 18B was so rare. John Stammers runs an 18B in Canada fitted with Mk15 bodywork. I think there is another in the UK but I have not yet tracked it down. I will email you an image of my car as it was when I bought it in November, ( its no longer yellow ). Look forward to hearing from you, Regards Adrian
