Another idea; just spoke with one of our Lotus club members who had a similar problem with his Lotus 7 TC, it was the oil filter!!
I'm guessing the engine is not noisy (or you wouldn't keep running it), try another gauge and lines!
Something I've done starting many different engines over the last 40 years. Take a normal oil can and fill all the oil lines; if you can get at the oil pressure switch, take it out and pump oil...
I should have used the RF82!
The Fox was a 'knife in a gun fight' (very slow) but I didn't get into any trouble and I finished the group 13 enduro (3 laps!). The big news is that me and the Kodiak...
Thanks.
West 87S is my best guess so far.
History of West in Japan goes back to the 1970's, the Australian West started much later and is not associated is what I am told.
I'm very pleased to hear you are OK (sorry about the car, such an unusual problem with catastrophic consequences ). I arrived very late on the scene, it was a scary looking mess! I know I arrived...
That's sad that you felt safer to leave; I was right at the back of group 13, sounds like it was the safest place to be :(!
Short Jay story;
Racing at Portland a year or two ago with 'Crossflow' FF group; we were all invited to Jay Ivey's shop where he supplied some exceptional food. While partaking of said free food I...

The car was apparently built in Japan.
Transmission is similar to LD200 Hewland but has integral bell...
No problems with my VFF's, I really like the tire it wears well; I've done several races with them in the dry and found they still worked in the wet!
That wouldn't 'even out the wear', I believe you have to reverse the tire on the rim.
I'm certainly not a 'front runner' but I agree with Tstrong; I find the 'factory recommended' pressures too high, especially the rear. Anything over 15 hot on the rear and my car oversteers.
I ran...
Now you should 'bring it home' to Mission Raceway Park (Canada) for a race!
I can see the links just fine; it looks FFish (nose looks Van Diemen) but I don't recognize it. That rear fin could be FJ too!?
I don't think this is April fools, it's too late!
Steve Beeler and VSCDA have announced Ford sponsership for the 50th anniversary race at Elkhart Lake in September!
Depends on fork alignment and how well it engages. I would say use in emergency and be prepared to hold it in gear!!
I bought a Formula Vee to be in this historic race, looking forward to it!!
Thanks Robbie
I'm taking a look at it next week; I'll talk to you at the track this weekend.
Beat the drum down there Bob, it would be great to see a 20+ car field for Al's 50th!!
I have a line on a Vee rental if someone is interested, nothing fancy but it should get you into Al's big race.
If I get gas in Sumas WA do I get tow money!!
I have rented a Vee for this race, wouldn't miss it!
I don't think the 'broomstick test' was tested here as the roll bar (or camera) never touched the ground, which I think was a very good thing!!
Very aggressive racing all round, sad to see it end...
