Just checked out your Zink Facebook page. Didn't realize you were a Zink family member. No wonder you found the info. Not sure what I will do with the motor I have 2 Zeitler frames I am restoring....
That is a lot of history! Glad you were able to find it. I have mounted the motor in my Zeitler. I have not done anything to it but put it in the car. You can see photos at my Zeitler Facebook page....
You can use any and all the photos on my Zeitler FV site.

Thanks. 3/4 it is! I appreciate it.
I am assembling the front beam for my Zeitler and I have 2 sway bars. A 5/8 AND A 3/4. Which one should i use? Thanks
Then everything can run in Vintage!
so.... 7 months later... give us an update on your project!
I agree. I will pass the info on. Thanks everyone.
The registration photo is actually for a 1960 porsche that was registered in Moron Argentina on august 23, 1974 (thanks to my wife who knows Spanish!). Maybe the engine and trans in the photos came...
Thought rs 60's were mid-engine?
Someone sent me these photos wondering if it was an early Formula Vee. It isn't but I didn't have an answer for him. It is a Porsche 356-type motor (the exhaust ports are vertical slots), split...
Nefv.org works.
It's the angle of the photo. The machined part starts at the teeth and goes down to the pressure plate bolts. Just hard to see from photo.
I think Rollin Butler is the closest builder. I'll give him a call.
The flywheel looks like every other 12 or 13 pound lightened one I have seen. The case-side of the flywheel has been machined...
Good advice. Thanks
The heads are just numbered 157 and 158 on the flat boss next to the intake port.
More photos of the motor.
I bought a FV motor and trying to figure out who the builder is. It has all the good stuff like 1600 dual oil case, full flow fittings, 373 heads with polished ports and lightened rockers, lightened...
I like them. Kinda like Jackman wheels.
Do you have a link to the place you bought them? Wanted to see what the wheels looked like.
Looks like your project is moving along just fine. Good work!

It is probably the same at most tracks for insurance reasons and lawsuits. A program to attract 18 year olds would work as well as retired bucket list folks. There is room for everyone.
If you haven't yet seen this please take time to read it. It is a great article by one of our members, Bill Bonow, about FV in New Zealand. They get kids who are moving up to FV from Karts and they...
Yesterday I went to a open track day at Sebring Raceway. This was a non-SCCA event that was open to the public for FREE. A good friend was sorting out his Vintage FV (a 1969 Zeitler) and I wanted to...
Back in the late 60's and 70's when a lot of FV's were raced, the VW magazines would do story's on the cars, drivers, tracks and even FV car building. Today we only have a couple air-cooled magazines...
Evaporust works and you dont even need to use gloves. Stuff eats rust but leaves everything else alone. Harbor freight, advance auto and walmart carry it. works overnight.
I was looking at the AA site and saw they carry 77mm 40hp piston and cylinder sets that slip into 1600 cases without rubber o-rings. Anyone tried these?

That's a good price for a new one. Post some photos when you can. You can always strap it to a wall for stability.
I saw this one. A little more than mine but it is electric and mine was manual. I got mine from a warehouse that was closing and they were selling all their equipment.

This is what my garage looked like a week before I got the pallet lift. It was taking almost 2 full bays. After I installed the transaxle and engine on the bottom FV, I put rolller-platforms on all 4...
I got it on craigslist for $100. It lifts 1500 pound pallets up to 15 feet high. This one had a manual foot pump for the lift and it was on swivel-steel casters to move around. They make electric and...
My garage has standard ceilings and I could put the bottom FV on jack stands to work on it or store it. Google pallet lift to see what they look like.
Give me the dates and I will be there!
2 new sections added to the Zeitler FV site. 1 for Bob Browsky and his incredible work on rebuilding my old car and a link to the 2 Zeitler sliders I bought recently. Thanks
Bob shared some photos of his Zeitler with me and all I can say is WOW! It is a work of Art. Great job Bob!
That was my problem too. How to ship 2 frames, 10 pieces of fiberglass bodies and several boxes of misc. parts. The shipper had to be willing to lift and carry everything as there was no front or...
Package received Butch and wanted to say thank you. I will wear it proudly. There are some great people in FV!
I got the decals this morning and they are beautiful and exactly like the ones on my FV. When I finish restoring the Zeitler, I will proudly display them on the side of the body to remind people of...
I am going to restore 1 of the FV's to original and I think the decals would be a great addition. The decals on my car are about the size of a paperback book. Do you have that size and would you sell...
I recently purchased a couple fv projects and found these decals fixed to the sides of one of the bodies. It was raced in the 80's! Very cool logo.
I restored a Zeitler that was raced in the NC and VA/DC region in the 80's. Maybe it was yours. Go to www.zeitlerformularacing.com and click on restoring my Zeitler link. Let me know if that was your...
Does anyone know John Lynch who raced FV in the 1970's? Trying to find info on a Vee he drove. I think he was in the NE Region. Thanks for any info.
The real early model Zeitlers had a droop-limiter which was a wire cable that connected to the left and right axles over the rear engine bracket/mount.
Thanks Lynn. I won't ever be able to race but I am going to try and autocross again. Worse case is the ambulance will have to bring a crane to lift me out of the car! And thanks to you and Provamo...
John Zeitler would be proud!
Like any other Vintage FV, it all depends on condition, whether it is complete or needs a bunch of expensive parts, whether it has logbook and history and whether it is original or has been modified....
I added over 50 photos and files to my Zeitler website in the last week. If you have anything to add please let me know. Thanks.

I have added 50 new photos to my Zeitler website in the past week. If you owned a Zeitler that was autocrossed please contact me. I would like to add your info to the site.
Thanks,
Roger...
