fillernecksupply.com has a 1" weld on neck and cap. Weld to a piece of tube if all else fails. Good luck

The difference may simply be the valve springs trying to rotate the cams.

A couple of ideas come to mind. New rotors may not be machined parallel - mike the rotors at various points on the surface. I have seen rotors that warp as soon as they start to get hot and return...

I have built a few FV boxes and found ATF destroyed the ring and pinion. There needs to be some EP (extreme pressure) additive in the oil. I found the Redline diff oils worked well in all the boxes...
