Just curious do a lot of Vees in Mexico have the brake backing plate material removed like yours? Don't think it is legal to do that in SCCA...

If I understand correctly and its not a safety concern, turning down the nuts would reduce unsprung weight and rotating mass. Maybe make the tec guy happy too.:greenflag:

Yes, not a tool but a very good part to bring to the races. Quick repair if you lose a push rod tube seal, also sometimes the tubes themselves have been known to crack or split along the seam.
