Ill PM you.
Out of curiosity, where in WA are you located? Im in Camas and my dad is in Bellevue. We both race FV on the west coast.
Excellent point, Brian. And one we as FV drivers have been pleading for decades. I have no problem with cars in other classes who are racing doing what they have to to get through a pack of us, but...
Everyone expects to hear all of your stories. Again.
Im 6'3", 220# and fit in my Protoform P3, Also, fit my dad's P2. I have also owned an early Mysterian and Zink Z18 (although I was only 6', 205# in the Zink 25 years ago.
Thats awesome! Got get 'em!
Im 42 and remember by dad racing against Al at Westwood when I was 8! Al still has that same infectious grin and is always so much fun to be around. Even in his 80's he gets excited to jump in the...
Yes. She is running Mitchell Ferguson's car and is entered as such. But, it is Laura.
I am flying back to Portland on a 5:30 flight after our race. Is anyone heading that way that may have room for me to bum a ride? Happy to kick in $$ on gas.
Thanks,
Quinn Posner
Is that Alan Harrington's old car? If memory serves, Tim Brousse bought it from Alan. It was a Lynx conversion. Or am I mistaken? Either way, I recall Tim hitting me with it in turn 2 at Mission in...
Thinking about towing out from our corner of the country (Pacific NW) immediately after the Seattle Double major to et some track time at Mid O. I would have to fly back after to get back for work...
Stupid lawyers. ;)
Laura is awesome, super talented and a ton of fun to race with. However, that track record was a glitch and SFR wont admit it. There is no way a vee could have ever run that time back then.
THis will give you an idea. Really a ton of fun.

The car isnt ringing a bell. What type of FV? Color scheme?
Just realized your avatar may have given it away. Silver Citation?
Which car is it?
Very cool! Hope Slim gets a chance to see this!
I was watching, as were others who can post as well. It appeared they were using a hand held caliper and taking four measurements per location (couldnt tell how many locations) and averaging. My...
San Francisco Region. Nothing less, nothing more. We deal with them regularly and the Region is a nightmare top to bottom.
It's each individual valve, not an average. Also, not sure about the .001. Seems that is what I heard at the track. As for the other DQ's, it was indeed horizontal tube measurements.
I believe tech used a cheap Chinese Harbor Freight gauge that disagreed with the engine builder's gauge. They then used a nice $400 gauge that confirmed the Harbor Freight $.99 special. Based their...
Terran still deserves the win. Zero performance advantage (same goes for Roger and Andrew). Terran crushed it. All of these guys still deserve where they finished.
Valve lift on Terran. Manifolds on Roger and Andrew. But the way tech was handling things, we all questioned their ability to properly measure Manifolds. It was a comedy of errors for a while it...
No. We suck.
Andrade is 2nd. Terran 5th. Jake 8th, Slim 9th and I'm 10. West coast is doingok. :-)
Track conditions still suck. Super greasy. Very little grip.

Jess Heitman built that car. Heavy from what I recall. Of course, so is Stephen half the time. ;-)
Very cool to see that car out and about! Raced against it many times with Fogarty and Keenan. Wish it were still on the west coast!

When I saw the subject line I knew this had to be you. Well done.
Very, VERY cool Ethan! Wade Carter. Havent heard that name in a long time. If memory serves and its the same Wade Carter, he was a senior at my school in Redmond, WA when I was in 8th grade. His dad...
Don't worry Brian M, Im not going to take the bait continue the thread. ;-)
Well except to say that I am well aware of US geography. :-)
I'm simply referring to the lack of concerns for a strong class nationally. You made it clear that your concern is locally and that you are not concerned for the class' health outside of your local...
That attitude. And a sad one at that.
23 entries. Almost all being from drivers who have run it many times. Not seeing many bucket list entries.
Sad that that is the attitude. We all talk about how to save the class, but here is the true view apparently.
And since I'm originally from Seattle, I do tend to watch the weather there. You see,...
So yet again, to heck with the west coast guys. Just support the east. Not surprised.
I say this as someone who has been involved in
West coast FV since 82 and driving since 92. It's clear to me...
Wish we had that option on the west coast.
Agreed. Another reason why vintage FF racing is sounding like the way I want to go after 22 years of racing FV.
WE stand at 22. I only know of one other who hasn't entered but is planning to do so. Is this going to be it? 23? Anyone else? If this is it, pathetic. Poor showing from our class.
It's Sunoco. That'll work.
Like Ive ever read the Sups. This will be new for me. ;-)
Which fuel will be on site for the Runoffs? Anyone have an idea?
Agreed! Try and get out there for the September regional.
Still, out multiple tows outweigh one for you guys. Also, what about all the Atlanta races?
Except rumor has it many of the east coast guys aren't coming out despite west coast drivers
making the tow east for years. Come on now, fair is fair. Don't let the Rockies stop you.
Sounds like a great weekend! Would love to have a version of this a little closer to the west coast. Mid Ohio is a bit far from Portland, OR. :(
Bob is my dad. He is responsible for my racing problem.
I represented your dad? PM me who your dad is! Also, you should've stopped by. I was the red and white #9 across the road from Charlie.
Wish I knew you were in Portland, Korntera. We just had an SCCA Major this 4th of July weekend at PIR. 7 vees were there.
Thats great. But as Brian Harding said earlier, try looking west of Appalachia. The west coast consistently has almost NO regional entries on a while. Our Majors/Nationals are typically 8 or so cars....
It was Skip's video. I know he had it on his page and Scott Meter shared it on his. So, friend one of those guys and you should be able to find it.
