So did Crawford copy a 2007 Lola or did FIA base F4 on the same?

Apparently you missed the geek humor reference.

Apparently their pouting match in front of the SCCA BOD in 2009 before the Honda vote proves they do (or did, for at least a brief moment).
Unless this is Ford's way at getting back at Honda and then works to play ball with Mazda in the ladder. I reckon this will get interesting.
The reality of this, as stated earlier, is that this...
Sorry. The one I have is for the ' 91
I think I have one. Will look tonight. The one I have is either a T90/00 or a T91/00.
Am not sure if Haas would have the history of those cars as that was the Swift era of Haas.
Roger Bailey would know the history.

I'm pretty pleased with the ReplayXD's. Their billet rollbar mounts are nice.
They keep rolling out new accessories that make them easier and easier to use. Some quirks with some of the new...
Try John TZ at NHR, 847/634-8210
Would suspect its not a hack. They likely shared the URL with partners early so they could be prepared to publish the link without putting up the 'come back soon' setting for the event. Or it was...
Wow, we must be bored. Do you think we'll get to a centithread on battery chargers in December? That would be telling....
Is anyone using any of the solar Goal Zero battery packs for low power...
So, can't quite see in the photo, but lord mounts or no?

We did that at Indy (well, there was no hill) but GTE MobileNet installed a temporary cell at the track in an attempt to use a phone instead of a business band 2-way radio. This was in the...
GLWT in a race car at 130+ MPH.
Needs WiFi. Would need to install a wireless MiFi in the car which are rather marginal on a commuter train at 60MPH, curious how it would work at 130MPH.
Would be better if it had a cellular...
Am not entirely sure how oil is drained from the VD bell housing, but on most cars you run the engine for a moment until oil pressure comes up and temps get warm, turn off the engine and then...
Yeah, nothing is perfectly aligned. The bending forces are small but the 0.090" plate welded onto the cup seemed to compromise manufacturability too far over strength/stiffness. The machined tube...
Yeah, thats not a plate like on the OEM VD arms. Yours is ~0.25 thick and spans the thickness of the bearing itself versus prolly 0.090 or somesuch on the VD.
hmm...less chance of bending? There is 100% chance of bending, regardless of which way they are manufactured. Perhaps you meant less bending, but the plate becomes the primary load path for that...
Isn't the plate the Van Dieman mass(er) produced cheaper production method of ending the a-arms? On the Piper, the ProTech swift replacement parts, Nick Fuhs replacement parts and every ChampCar...
Not the valley but Mesa Bearing in Huntington Beach/Costa Mesa is the usual racers bearing supply

But also note the champ cars went from the low 1:50's to the mid 1:40s under the same formula after repaving. Its not always the cars going faster that makes the cars go faster.
Fast Forward makes extenders specifically for this.
Remove damper, put floor jack under upright. Lift upright in increments, measure the wheel change and the damper change. Plot and curve fit in Excel, the resulting curve equation will something...
Talk to Greg at Carl Haas Auto. Last time I was in their paint shop they had one. Wasn't the '86 a complete dog, at least at the speedway it was IIRC.
Shouldn't the leading edge of the end plate be as thick as the rear wicker at the back? I recall that the leading edge had its own shape (flat on the inner face, curved on the outer) at the leading...
Jeff Horton may have the records, or Roger Bailey.
Jeff is currently the Indy Racing League's Director of Engineering.
He's not on LinkedIn apparently, but others in my network should have...
Usually, where the antenna goes there is a section of kevlar only bodywork. If you see any winter testing photos where the car is still carbon and unpainted (google image search not giving me any...
VHF has a better 'over hill & dale' range and the signal is less susceptible to absortion by trees between radios. However, there use to be lots of overlapping traffic on the VHF band that most pro...
I've used stainless tubing from Wicks Aircraft and flared it after adding a tube nut fitting.

Thanks guys. I talked to Sandy and he is fitting one to the Fit to see how it works.
I too had looked to C&R to make a radiator with integral oil heat exchanger in it and its all doable. I had...
Thanks, I'll reach out to Erik.
From where? I've found those to be rather unobtanium from the searches I've done. If there is any current info on how to obtain one that would be very helpful. I understand they were on VWs back...
Except for the fact that he beat the F1600 Series Champion and the runner up, handily. Though that doesn't tell the whole story for anyone who followed the week. Lew would have been every bit the...

Yes, but there are more differences besides the engine & wings. Specifically, the FC runs 6 & 8" wheels and the FF requires 5.5" wheels all around. So you'll need to switch. Also, many FCs have...
I believe these are the (much more recent editions) Statics & Dynamics texts I used in college. I believe they are 2D dynamics mostly and only cover 3D as a late chapter advanced topic, and Milliken...
