Try looking in an old NAPA catalog. They have pictures of ball joints for various applications.
If there are no snap rings then i'd suspect it is threaded.

On Crossle series cars the ball joint is replaced with a heim and a bolt.
You may be able to source a spherical bearing that will fit and run a bolt throught it.

Also talk to ICP/Variloc for parts and ideas, he posts here, mainly jokes and great car...

Get a book and follow it, it's very straight forward and knowledge from one applies to the other (i.e. float level etc)

To be honest tuning monvalve shocks isn't going to do a lot on a 1969 car. Pick a valving for the front and for the rear and go with it.

It's only 2 bolts...lol

RTV is often used too between the parts to keep bearing grease from being flung on the rotor.
