The gear reduction in the diff would mean that the chain will be rotating faster than a 1:1 diff. This will mean that the chain links are rotating more often, and with a short chain this will only...

I do LOVE that, it's just that Jeff is more the hero to me...

The following link is so predictable.

Please everybody, don't be victim of Jon Lewis's latest scam..
How many incompatible chassis/engine combinations of F4 or F4 derivatives will we see .....
Richard (ICP) makes the chain drive diff in an open version. I used an open diff in the FB car for a couple of years, and then used Richard's parts to make it a very lightly lsd.

^ This. I don't think that the used injectors worked on any engine that I ever had that sat for more than a couple of months.
I wonder what the BMW will look like on a similar graph :)
Low 150mph has been done at Elkhart. We did 156 at Homestead in early 2010, without really developing the car for that mission.
I think that a good FB developed for Daytona would do 160 there....
I'd start with smaller brakes :)
At first glance, it doesn't look like those primaries are all that close in length....
I'd buy a ticket to that.
LMAO
Funniest post on Apex in a while.
Dude there are bottles of Me-hee-can Coke in my fridge right now, you know, for special occasions. Acutually, it's available at Sam's Club here.
Back to Runoffs Entertainment
Wren and I are *WAY* crazier than that. It wouldn't be diet coke, it would be the real thing, fully leaded regular coke...
JR Osbourne purchased it.
Gee, I guess that the series *did* have some resources to liquidate. I'm sure that he will use the proceeds to pay everyone that he owes...
Great news Reid. You will have a blast.
And, yes, I'm going to try the F2000 series. I've got a lot of work to do and not so much free time, so I had better not be in a hurry.
Build it initially with a washer or two between the tab and the endplate or at the center attachment. Then add or remove washers as needed.
Thank you, but really not necessary. Jon Lewis is the problem, not the Slahors.
I've got a couple of more things that everyone needs to know about Jon, but I'm waiting to be given the "OK" to...
I'm sitting at home babysitting/working until Wednesday night. I'm hoping to be there before dark on Thursday.
My bad. I edited my post.
There are multiple ways to qualify. One way is to finish in the top three in points in your division. I was trying to get the points for the rocky mountain division, but the website doesn't respond....
The current rule from the GCR:
H.4.C. The stock ECU shall be used. The ECU fuel map may be changed. Devices that modify inputs to the ECU (e.g., Power Commander) may be used. Stand-alone after...
From the F1000 series website:
Did Sunoco fail to pay for the awards that they were sponsoring, because none of the "Sunoco Pole Awards" have been paid? What would Sunoco think of this? How...
I plan to be there.
I have some hope that we can get a decent field together.
J.R., I understand your pain. With the travel distances involved, you made a huge comitment to running those events. As I told you at those events, you are a fierce competitor with a combination of...
That engine was a true 0 miles Suzuki at the Runoffs, so it was all new parts.
Speachless. That's not a good enough response I suppose.
Thanks for the compliments, and the humor.
The races are tomorrow and Sunday. There are some fierce competitors behind me on the...
My fronts appear to be fine. The tires from Saturdays race have been taken off the wheels and they appear fine on the inside as well. I had no out of balance condition on any of my tires.
Sorry...
The CTMP "security" crew managed to refuse entry in the victory lane celebration to my father :(. They seemed to be randomly just telling people no.
I talked to Jon briefly on the phone yesterday. They were limping a sick motorhome back to Florida. They thought that they would make it today, but they may have had more problems.
Here are my three "fliers" from the Sunday morning session. The video doesn't do the place justice, the elevation change is downright shocking.

This photo needs a good caption....
As heard on the podium:
Me: We have to race in these suits tomorrow, right? So how about we not spray each other...
JRO: We can just spray the girls...
Coop: (as the champaigne spray is...
I'm typing from the passenger seat of the truck on the way home. It's good to be back in the US and have internet service. The lack of coverage up there from the competitors was due to the crazy...
Thanks Mike, just isn't enough from me. The F1000 National Championship benefitted me tremendously. The series motovated me and others to get out there and race the cars, which I believe is one of...
I'm not ready for full throttle, but now that everyone knows my "speed secret" of only allowing 75% throttle I'll have to work to find another unfair advantage.
I may be the only one with this opinion, but I think that controlling the hp in this class would be a good idea. The performance of the cars is significant with 180 hp. We have been closing the...
The BOD can't approve something that they have not been given a chance to vote on.
It sounds like the BOD want's to see something very much like the original proposal before them and they are...
The current rules would permit bodywork (up to 150cm) in front of the front wheels and behind the rear wheels.
I don't think that anyone in the class is real keen on having to exploit the...
I have never once said that there is *NO* advantage. I just think that in qualifying, say, over the course of one lap that the advantage is quite small and I don't think that I can measure it.

I'm just not sure about the flaming Joe Gibbs sauce :D
If you have an engine blow up and resulting fire, I'm not eating from the hospitality tent that day :)

\Flattered There are no secrets here. I'll help any way that I can. I just hope that you can make the trip.
There hasn't been much discussion yet regarding the Runoffs. Seems like time to start a thread.
We are at 11 entries right now, anybody else coming, or on the fence?
Any rumors, who's going...
