I can't make the Ridge this year nor the upcoming PIR race but am planning on PIR at the end of the month. ORP is a giant maybe for me as well.

By far the coolest class in club racing!
Reread post #5 and #6.
Both are spot on!
What is the cost to get a 40' container down there? That opens lots of cool possibilities!
Russ
Interested in a rental FC or F1000 for Austin if anyone has something interesting available.
Russ Werner
Any rentals available?
Me thinks the Portland race isn't on those dates. At any rate, send me a PM and let me know how much for Portland and what it includes. Beer? Tires?
Russ
We going to get any relief on sound at Luguna?
Miller is listed on the SCCA site as Aug 3/4 so it does conflict.
27 hours to mid-ohio from here, 39 from Portland. You'll probably get a huge...
Yeah, I saw that. Sure I did..............
Wow, Seattle lives but the two biggest turnout races, Portland and Miller not on the schedule. :(
Yes
No podium celebration for the FB race, but lots of smiles seen around the impound area. Big frowns in the Citation paddock. And yes, the Moho heading up the hill at speed was impressive! I had to...
Why FS? Are there no fuel rules in FS? ;)
Keith's car isn't available, as it is being run by a guy from Utah named Russ.
However, if someone really wanted to run it, I might be convinced to drag my own car out.
Russ
He's working with the right guy, Guy Ruse. He is divisional licensing steward and is very reasonable. Tell me again, why do we have regionals and nationals if they run together at the same time at...
Anyone going to High Plains for the Last Chance National on Labor Day weekend? Trying to rally a few FB's
Russ
Though I will continue to run with a stick and two boulders, I told the CRB to leave you all alone as you needed your shifter systems without additional weight.
I think that if everything that...
Turns out what ended my day Sunday was a wheel bearing failure. By not parking right away, it will cost me a bearing, upright, CV, rotor and possibly a caliper. Not to mention the tires from...
Letter sent to require a stick and two boulders. Anything else requires 2 stones penalty weight.
Actually I've decided I don't care how you all shift.
Can I use my $500 certificate towards that $2000?? ;)
Starke....you get post of the year! Beer through nostrils!
Russ
Actually, the guys I've mostly watched changing engines are the ones with the assisted shifters! I don't see an advantage there at the track. Seems maybe it isn't really saving their engines.
...
For me, proper shifting is part of proper driving. Any driver of average ability can shift a semi-automatic gearbox. I think driving skills should be important and things like downshift reject...
It seems in this series there is always someone who has a great thrash to fix something busted and barely makes the field. Often they finish well up the order. I'd recommend an extra prize for that...
Us Utah boyz tried to keep the hardware local, but Taylor put himself into good position to get some of the spoils with his great drive. Randy Mitchell and Larry Vollem also put in great drives on...
Yup. Home track advantage and a car on rails. Nice combo meal. More please!
Day garages available also at $50/day.
Contact for that is Jason Wade, 435-277-8027
A couple of us are already in there. GP garages are $150/day I think.
Russ
I'm with Alex. You ask me to remove my motor, which I am confident is legal, and I say blow me as well!
Too much cheatin going on in FB and it needs to be called out.
Just sayin'
Seems everyone here is under the assumption that he thought it was legal. Not sure where they get that.
quote: Had I known the possibility of such a severe penalty was there, I would never...
My nose is in!

West Track........So far we have:
Hickman
Werner
Mitchell
Vollum
Archer
LaBrie
Biner
4 down at the chicane for me.
Wow, lots of interesting private messages!
All you legal guys, come on down (up?) to Miller in a month for a fantastic season ender. We have 7 local FB cars here so we could really have a romp. ...
Possibly the fuel was the tip of the FB iceberg in Seattle. We may see more fall before year-end.
See you next year.
Russ
Mike,
I have a Mystt sticker on the right side. I wiped the others off on Gary Hickman's Edge at Thunderhill! Send more (2) and I'll find something to hold together with them!
Russ
Mike
After all my egging trying to get field size up, I have to withdraw my entry for reasons beyond my control. I haven't been able to walk since just after thunderhill due to surgeries to get...
It all is in the interpretation of "directing acting". And I don't think it has been ruled on.
RE: "As the current rules allowed them. they should stay."
That is not necessary the club's interpretation. The rule has NOT been thoroughly tested.
Probably won't be, as the new...
Rotobroach bits cut stainless like butter. Next best, but requiring a pilot hole is a unibit.
If you invest in a set of rotobroach bits you won't regret it.

I won't be at Seattle, going from the Sprints to Portland. I doubt you'll see Mitchell either.
Be careful up there. Go on your head and the workers might just leave you there while...
Okay, back at 6 measly entries in FB.
WTF is with that? Is this all were going to get? FC has 19 entries.
Russ
(direct acting shifter installed)
Regarding the Phoenix Fly Over at T-Hill Gary referred to, that would have been me. I usually do lots of low flying in various machines, however they normally have unassisted takeoff, enough height...
This is nice! When do we hear the tentative schedule?
No on 1
Yes on 2
The biggest FB fields have been out west so it only makes sense to have an event there. Where's the tow money for West coast guys heading East?
Check the date on the photos page. 2011 will work better for web searches! Great photos!
Gary,
If you haven't figured out by now, I am a slacker and play way too much in too many arenas. The car is getting back together, but I will probably be on the road 3 of the next 4 weeks...
Not going to be ready. First stop for us will probably be thunderhill.

First off, we have no real idea of who is answering the survey and if they are active FB drivers.
Second, as I was not a party to the protest at RA, I don't know exactly what was protested or how...
Welcome to the gang Pete. You chose well on the new car!
