Here I am thinking I responded in the FF forum, I've never driven a FV so ignore me and listen to him^
They will change gear on downshift with no blip but you lose stability on braking and will wear the dogs faster. The gearbox wont shift up on throttle without really forcing it. Bottom line, when you...
You'll be amazed at what a true formula car can do compared to the sloppy mess that is the Ariel Atom lol. (I love driving both, they're just so different)
im talking about for the hydraulic clutch system, I've found bike powered cars often get air in the clutch lines and need to be bled. the srf seems to hold off the heat the best. A poorly bled clutch...
Make sure your clutch is bled properly, and use Castrol SRF for fluid so you know the clutches are fully apart when you go 2 feet in.
Different strokes. I run an F1000 and a Radical SR3 with basic sequential and you couldn't give me a paddle shift for free.
The RFR sure is the most photogenic chassis.. I'm biased though.
I imagine a lot more being a carbon tub vs this tube chassis car
It's all because I scared him off lol.. probably ran crying to a tin top
Beautiful! I've been contemplating a similar idea for mine.
You think a mere friendly suggestion scared him off? I have seen a hell of a lot of people get their ass handed to them by formula cars. Fact is, for most, a FF or FV is a good way to see if you...
^exactly, Op if you are a fresh fresh, even a club FF will blow your mind and you'll actually learn a thing or two. Formula cars realistically need to be done in tiers no matter how good one thinks...
What is your road course experience level?
I had to talk a friend out of buying one of those two FL15's for sale as there were only ever 6 made and that scares me away from any formula car. I have seen the blue/grey one in person several...
I'd really like to see it cleaned up. Looks like its in nice shape
Hell, even a Formula Ford can be too much car for a beginner with no experience, nevermind a PFM. I'm new here so not sure if this is sacrilege but buy a cheap track ready Miata and do a couple track...
