Think that was from the morning session not the race.
I was timing from station 7. I was seeing 1:22s
Correct. I was wondering if anyone had any info about why they picked this brand over another in perhaps a different size. You get a lot more choices if you go with a 15 inch rim.
Might be interesting to know how FV1200 group came to that tire as their choice.
Checked:
BFG
Yokohama
Bridgestone
Firestone
Goodyear
Continental
Pirelli
None of these have 200 rubber in 195/60 14s.
If you turned PM off because you didn't want spam you really really shouldn't post your email in a machine readable format in a forum post.
Thanks for the show guys. Corner 10 and 7. That 3 way battle looked like a good time. Couldn't have put another car between you guys the whole session.
Local to Nelson here. Many spots that were getting pot holed have been fully ground out and patched with full depth asphalt not just rhino patch. The race is most definitely on.
The roll cage does need to meet current GCR rules for a SCCA run autox.
That's always been a beef I've had with the GCR. The intent of rules like this isn't described. After someone explains that the rule makes perfect sense but until then as a newcomer you scratch your...
What my point above was supposed to be is the previous replies by FST promoters don't think the change will add more cars to VEE fields or FST fields. And field size is the real problem. Having brake...
All the parts from a FST can be bought at an VW supply house on the planet other than the restrictor plate. So I'm not sure how this is some black helicopter thing.
If you review every vee change...

Thanks all for coming out. Made standing in the rain worth it.
Heh yea i haven't saved enough nickles to build mine yet, so have to make do watching other cars get built.
A good picture doesn't need questions. It tells the story. It's two years from now when some other guy is working on his new car that these photos might well be priceless.
Thanks for the good show guys. Looked great from 10 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday.
Was in the middle of Q1 if I recall.
They will be available for streaming any time you like on speedcasttv.com. Last year they had the full day streams up by the middle of the next week and had each individual race up in about two weeks...
Granted you might not have any setup info to go with the different tire.
For Wisconsin in September I think you find a way to have those for the big show.
Loshak blows by down the front straight.
Been watching these clowns commentate the last 4 years. They can't be bothered to know any real info about the classes.
Heh the official Compomotive website shows Carl's old car in it's promo shots for those wheels.
Was out on the corners for the weekend. Thanks for putting on a show that made standing in the sun worth it.
Very good show. Much enjoyed from my perch at 10 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday. Thanks for the show :)
By the track map info I saw on their facebook it's 150' of change. 450 is likely adding up and downs over the length of the course.
Early video of two SRFs just cruising while they still were...
The picture is amusing because of the amount of shine on the trucks chassis covers you almost can't even see it. Crazy hover truck.
I'll be on a corner. Can't wait. :greenflag:
Do they have an aerospace section? I need a yard of flight line.
If you go racing due to a call of green and there is a late pull on the double yellow, I would be counter arguing that with the rule as written there needs to be proof that the passing started before...
In my short experience as a flagger this is how a restart would work.
FCY is out no passing.
At the moment starter throws green drop FCY is commanded on comm network all stations pull in double...
It's audio only. And that really drives me nuts. So many places do a stream but don't have the courtesy to mention hey it's just audio you comp or stream isn't busted.
That's the trick with that second hump. You have to resist the urge to start turning for 12 while the car is still light. Of course you also have to make sure you don't have the car rotating to the...
This is the problem with every one of these threads. The members are the sanctioning body. So the members are in fact the ones who are supposed to step in say no. If the BOD went ahead and just made...
And there goes the 2 min mark during a race. Tucker with a 1:59.684
That's what I thought the best part of this video was. That Vees were a support race for THE big show.
Pack trailing safety cars do have their advantage. Makes for a very fast response for those start line and turn 1 dramas.
Something that certainly could be discussed with your local region and or...
A GCR Fst has a 1585cc with a single barrel 34mm carb with a restrictor plate.
A solo vee is allowed a 1915cc engine with any single carb or the 1585 engine with dual carbs.
The suspension...
Things looked great from station 7 on Saturday. The passes at 12 on Sunday were great. Really love the slip angles these cars can reach while turning. Was great to see all the cars back out each...
I don't recall seeing a race weekend the last few years of flagging out there that the Hoosier truck hasn't been at the show.
FM is the only class a Vee fits in. It sounds like there is a good bit you can do with the car to increase performance.
Toss out everything that is extra to get the weight down. You don't need...
Best seat in the house. Well other then the drivers seat.
Thanks for putting on the awesome show guys. It looked great from station 2 on Sat and 12 on Sun.
From what I've seen in padocks so far all you have to do is stand by your car with the engine sitting next to it and the tools needed to install it will appear out of thin air. One of the things that...
Working in IE9 and chrome. You may have a bug from something else. Also check that java is up to date.
June at Nelson is sounding more and more awesome by the week. :D
Being that as a corner worker you throw the flags first and then start talking on the radio it's not really going to help you pick up on things faster. For places you can listen to flagging channels...
I won't be driving but I do look forward to the show at Nelson. I'll be viewing it from a flag station. :greenflag:
