Maybe you locked up the tires? Toe/Camber would be a scuff pattern around the whole tire on either the outside or inside edge (like you described).

The short track is the faster one, but I think you can still get away with a short box. The long track is definately short box.
Good Luck!

Bill,
I talked to Ed Womer and others after the NJMP national, and they were barely hitting 6k at the end of the straight (at Summit Point national guys are aorund 6800 if not higher) They said...
It's a lot of the SM guys thinking they run the place trying to kick open wheel racecars out. It is frustrating, but they do not gain anything by us losing time on track, so I don't know why this is...
That was a cool feature. a Ford driver was convinced that FV's have more cornering speed:ha: but I did some karting with him so I didn't tell him -no way jose-
I passed a FC which was pretty...
Yes Bill, it was great.
I had fun racing with everybody, and the track is sure fun, but I don't know which way is more fun, I'd say CCW. the Qualifying race was pretty close, maybe a little too...
NJMP Lighting- the shorter track, is a really fast track that requires the long box
NJMP Thunderbolt- longer of the two, is a short box
Summit Point- Short box hitting 6500+ RPM at end of front...
I think around 7, I decided to race this weekend by the way guys!
See you there
Steven
Blue/Black #19 FV
Thanks Bill!
I think I will just come out to watch this time. I just spent money on tires, and this would be my 2nd race in 3 weeks, that's a lot of money for me to spend in one month. I'll come...
OK guys, I had off already for the MARRS at NJMP, that I decided last night, is not worth the cost, counting the practice day I will need (I won't get on a new track w/o it), and the 300 buck entry...
I may come, seeing the video, it is not the twisty track I imagined you guys raced on. I will see what I have after this MARRS race Aug 8-9. I'm trying to put as little wear/tear on my car, and my...
ill be there all weekend with another SCCA guy. (both FVs) and I know of a FC from SCCA too. Should be a good view. it'd be cool to get a picture of a padddock with all the cars in it.
Hey Paul,
since you're going to be there, it'd be cool if you could come by and check out the Vista! It handles great when the shock isn't bending, I haven't driven it with rear brakes yet,...
I meant to say this earlier, but the paint is a beautiful color. This has been a quick rebuild so far, good luck!
That is very true, I drove karts for a little bit and loved a loose kart so I could put little input into the kart, and slide (controlled) around the turn using the gas. I didn't really get a chance...
Yes, something did go wrong with my engine. It was from New Zealand, and they tried some crazy things like cutting grooves in my pistons and what not. It lasted a solid ten laps, and it...
One important thing....Don't mash the gas when you get a little loose in a FV like you do with FWD, I switched to an ITA Civic Si at my drivers school (after the engine blew in FV) drove it like a...
ahh... sorry, I just put those days back on my work schedule. My FV is in the shop, and my dad can't race his FC that weekend, would've helped out with what I could, we live in Stevensville by the...
Cobalts a good choice too. Quick, good gas mileage, FWD for snow. If the SS version isn't too pricey that'd be better. FWD's good for track days, if you get sideways, just hit the gas! (I just...
I wore a defNder for my drivers school at Nelson Apr 18th-19th. My car is fairly roomy in between my front/rear roll hoop, but tight to get into, I Didn't even feel it getting in/out and buckled in...
HI Paul, I sent you an e-mail wandering if Saturday would be a good time to pick up the VISTA body and the solid wheels. How much will that cost total. I will also be asking you for the rear end...
Thanks LIsa and Mark, I just sent both of you e-mails, I will try to keep this updated with pictures so I can get some critisism of the build
Thanks
By THe Way: how much is the fibergalss going to...
OK thanks guys, my dad drives a Reynard so I had to get the badge. I'll try to update this with pictures as I get the car buit.
Hi everyone, I am Steven McWilliams Jr, and am 15 years old. I've been working on my Dads continental for most of my life. I just bought a Predator Chassis built by Steve Cole in 1993. It is built...
