I manage 1 set per season 5-6 weekends.

I think it's more driver ability, set up, preparation and dedication than anything else.
I think the majority are running engine in the 3-5k range and many even less. Talking majors level runoff engines I don't know but saying FVs are running 10k + engines is not accurate, a few maybe...

Short answer is YES but it takes more than just a engine to be competitive in FV.
What is the spec for manifold exactly? "not monster" does not really explain anything. Most US cars have a SCCA legal manifold which has a specific measurements.
