    I have a '91 Ranger, 6 cyl., with a manual trans....

    I have a '91 Ranger, 6 cyl., with a manual trans. and it pulls the Vee with a fairly stout single axle trailer just fine. A trans. cooler is a must if you would go with a automatic.
