All that being said the firman had been an incredibly fast and reliable car over the last 4 years. Can't wait to see what the new one can do.
Thank you I'm finally getting the insight I was looking for. I heard enough people say how stupid fast ott was and then saw it myself but i didn't understand how he was so hard for Chris to pass. I...
I'm very sorry sir, didn't mean anything by it sir....
Now that's respect for your elders.
I watched him braking at the 1 marker when everyone else was at the 1.5 or further back. Sorry Gary but you were braking at the two. The question of ott's Astra was more does anyone know how an FB...
Not to mention to protest you have to know exactly what your protesting and then put up a bond of around 2000$ to have the motor torn apart. So said the tech inspector at pacific raceways
His driving was very impressive I agree.
So does anyone else wonder how Chris Farrell's dsr with a fully built motor at 205hp had trouble passing Steve ott's Astra FB with a stock motor? Impressive driving aside the dsr weighs in at least...
It's amazing you have time to build such a fast racecar with all the trolling you get done.
Lol keep it up

Glen your famous in Australia now.... Well at least your car is.
Well I'm certainly not Asian, but sorry to dissapoint but they checked and I'm all clear for signs of Down's syndrome.
That's right. I googled it.
It's probably got a window in the block
That is unless starke's steel company wants to sponsor me to run the aarc
I would but cost of flight and oil cooler are already over my budget, not to mention fuel, tires entrance fee. Etc. that and I parted ways with FWC so it's not like I could just borrow and oil cooler.
So what your saying is your firman is available that weekend. Just so happens I have a seat molded to my ass that would fit real nice in that car...
Ahem.... Don't forget Geartronics
We currently have 4 firman f1000's refgistered for the labour daze classic at mission raceway park in beautiful British Columbia. Looking for anyone interested to register for this icscc event....
As far as the 09/10 gsxr motor they are sorted in the firman package. Alex mAyer had some very unfortunate luck. Something must have been different from the oiling methods that have now proven...
Restrictors are bad mmkay
Wouldn't different motors possibly still have an advantage even if their max hp at said rpm is te same? Wouldn't they still have different power levels at say 10,000 rpm
That's a question for Nicholas. But it won't be this year.
The real question is... Will Hickman show.
Adult?!? Come on Thomas, glorified man child is about all I can give you credit for.
Maybe I should have use this post to make my point as the other one was a little more serious. Also I apparently need to spell check things more
I like you wren, your a pretty decent guy, but damn you are or negative sob?
If you can get your hands on a Suzuki code tester or an aftermarket one. As soon as the misfire happens it should throw a code. If you don't have the Suzuki tester you have to leave the ignition on...
So the question is will you be able to pass up mid Ohio with indycar? You could always run Hoosiers for the west coast series.
Congrats to bill. Way to represent the Firman crew. Awesome job
True dat
We've been running goodyears for the last two years and on our chassis we were running hot pressures in a range of 21-24 psi
Good luck with the investigation.
Carrol smith books. While some of the info may be aged it is still a racecar bible by which to go on.
Big congratulations to Glenn Cooper on his double podium weekend, that champaign tasted real good. A special thanks to Tim Pierce for allowing us to work with him over the weekend and helping giving...
Our chains were replaced every weekend because one time a chain let go and it was a very costly mistake not to change it. It left a nice hole in the lower case, while it is not necessary to change it...
That's it? Where's the post session driver interviews... We need more information man.
Good luck to everyone. John I hope your weekend goes better than last
We were there. Focussing on Corey smith running the newest addition to te FWC family
Buy a geartronics system. Problem solved
What length do you need it. Firman manufactures two different lengths
All you do is recirculate the dry sump back into the oil fill hole on the clutch cover. The crank case breather port then goes to your overflow. After that we have has 100% reliability
So can you say it one more time, just for clarification. No restrictors :)
The crank shaft machining was an attempt to fix an oiling problem, in the end the recirculating
Into the clutch cover solved all the woes an machining the crank was in necessary
Just watch George run a couple pulls on his new toy. The only thing sweeter than his new Christmas present is hearing that kawi sing at 13,500 197hp
Mike we are sitting here biting are lip waiting for more updates...
Wouldnt that rod going All the way up to the brake pedal inhibit left foot brakers?
Is JRO's car bad or just a BMW blow up
Josh this one
Looks right up your alley
Thanks John although you and I would have been at a similar weight disadvantage.
And to all those (John) who say they are too tall to fit in a firman chassis, I'm 6'4" so that just ain't true
Track record lap now up at http://firmanwestcars.com/
You won't but i run a two car team and most cars we sell I'm the one indtallin the motor so I get lots of experience with every little part of the car
I hear you have all of our updates with the oiling system so it should be a strong runner
With our removable bar I can have our engine out and in in around 3 hours by myself. 5 hours on a hot night in Utah after a whole day of being on track. That is assuming the spare has all the doo...
Also if you need any mechanical/engineering assistance feel free to pm me or Nicholas.
I don't normally Leave anything loose so I'll put that down to pre race jitters
