Not in a vee...but did many laps in a Miata.
The main difference (for Pro) is a left turn after T1.
In a Miata (and I expect the same for a Vee), it is full throttle, no lift, no brake.
You are in...
The track typically has a test day on the Friday.
Unlike other tracks, they will do 1/2 days as well...perfect for those coming late morning, or if you just need to sort out some settings.
I'll throw my hat in the ring.

1 hour on engine.
Ran it at Calabogie for the F-Libre Challenge race last Friday. Car is in top condition...
Have a look at this shot.

It shows the air scoop fixed under the cylinder head.
Works like a charm...and not even sure its...
Here you go.
Already in Canada.
I'll take CDN $ at par.

Fair enough...45 min. Still worth it and beats sleeping in your trailer (or at least my trailer).
Let me reiterate...
Kanata (a suburb of Ottawa) is 30 min. away, on mostly 4 lane highway.
There are plenty of big chain hotels there...and the very nice "Brookstreet"...if that's your scene....
It seems there is a "wedding of the century" happening in Calabogie during the Ted Powell weekend. Don't expect to roll into town and get your regular room.
Arnprior, Renfrew and a 30min. drive to...
Shannonville will let you do a half test day as well.
If the car doesn't sell, I'll use it to race with the Libre guys at the Calabogie. Will do the Calabogie regional race in the spring, Shannonville and Ted Powell.
If it sells...don't know...lots of...
I assume that's me...I'm not retiring. My car is for sale, but I'm still racing.
Very cool to watch.
Nice to see the whole race rather than my isolated perch on the outside of T3.
Funny how many time he had to say "Canadian Tire Motorsport Park"...appreciate the effort.
Toyo R888
I think Shane/Sam have the back story. That hanging car was to become one of the AVR cars.
Shout out to the outgoing execs.
Congrads on the new team.
Thanks to Noel for stepping up.
May 30-31 is the height of blackfly season BTW. I would hope of a cold weekend.
CMP and MCO have announced that they will be partnering to ensure that there are 2 events for 2015
This from Terry Dale the Race Director for both events;
"It is confirmed - MCO is organising a...
Just responding about the Womer steering box...I took a shot of it last night.
It's a clever design and I really like the response (when its adjusted).
But the box is mounted upside down and...
How is it that I finished ahead of Bill in the regular standings, but behind in masters? I'm sure there is some weird math involved. No biggie, just seems weird.
I'll be at CTMP.
FWIW-
The original schedule had us racing with the FLibre group for P1, Q1 and R1 on Saturday.
I pointed this out to Harry a week ago. He was on it right away.
I realize the solution isn't...
Oh geez...I can't believe I'm going to comment on a tire discussion.
FWIW- The wheels we use are made for us by Diamond. I suspect you/we could get any backspacing you want. Not sure how it ended...
wow...nice job Ray et al.
4th car is Des...from our series.
3rd season on mine (full seasons + evening Libre races at Calabogie)
Still look and run great.
Will likely last mid way trough next...
Registration live.

You can register for the test day...
MCO meeting tonight.
I'll get details.
You guys notice the split Practice/Qualifying?
Should be interesting.
Some groups have a practice first then a "Q" notice to start Qualifying on the...
The fact that the cookout is listed first is a good indication of the F1200 series priorities.
Should be a fun weekend.
Looking forward to racing with the US vees.

Here is the link for SKI.
He made the seat and bolster for my car.

Damn...change comes slow to fvee.
I was trying to understand the changes as they effect steering.
Can we go with a rack like FST or do we still have to use the old steering box.
Thursday night!?
Good lord...I'll be lucky to make it in time for qualifying.
I appreciate this is out of the question for a lot of you...just putting this out there (if you are in the valley and have your trailer with you)
The F-Libre club here in Ottawa has announced...
Quoted for truth.
Never had an issue with the Odyssey battery in the last 2 years.
The quick release just seems like a cheap and good idea.
Hmmm...my kill switch is on the +ve side.
Should work the same...I just need to have the kill switch on...right?
I noticed that you installed a quick release battery connection at the back.
I'm installing one now...
How does the wiring work?
I could wire it in parallel to the existing battery (which makes...
Nice.
Here is what the Womer does...if this helps at all.

LOL.
Its just that I seem to spend a great deal of time behind them. :(
I'll admit that I prefer the seating position in the BRD...but the Womer seems to suit me a bit better.
Didn't realize the...
Nice work so far.
So...why a BRD?
Cough, cough. Calabogie.
This to me...appears to be the subtext of this discussion.
There is a desire for some kind of parity across borders or between regions. Ultimately to allow racers to "visit" each other without...
Congrads to Mike for an impressive season.
Congrads to Dave for a dominant win in the Master's Championship. It was some fun and clean racing.
It strikes me that the nature of the test is the issue.
If I can pass by scrunching down or sitting unnaturally in the car, then go to a more upright/comfortable position to race, then clearly the...
Leave it to Frank to start rumors.
Time to start planning a replacement?
Perhaps....Toyo's R888's?
Retired.
Box of spare parts.
Handy with a wrench.

Richard Coburn has posted his photos from the weekend.
Excellent stuff as usual.

This is supposed to be grassroots racing. With easy access to common parts and simple mechanicals. Try finding a front beam these days. It seems drums are being horded. A 50 year old engine is $3-5K....
Sorry to hear this Frank.
I suppose you have to trust your gut instinct.
I've said it before...I appreciate your enthusiasm and respect that you are such a strong positive presence in the community.
I'm split on the decision.
I think it just worked out that it was a race that could be postponed.
For Sunday, R2 was after lunch, and R3 was the last event of the day.
(Why we were last on both...
FWIW...we were racing for Masters honor. Props to my fellow masters...they made for really clean, safe racing.
