It comes with a heavy heart that my last car is tentatively sold. It is going to a great guy in the South Florida area, that will continue to race it in the South East Division probably in FS on a...
In the twilight years of my racing career, I managed to get through my financial woes. I didn't have to sell the car after all, and I am pressing on with my bullet proof Dan Robinson cable blipper...
Way to go JP! Now go do it again...:thumbsup:
Yeah- low 1:50's- doing 160...
Never thought about wringing out a Kawasaki at Daytona. With the right aero package maybe the low fifties? Hmmm.
Just to add to what Dan says, my budget(s) have been close to his doing the same thing. A couple years ago at a regional, I beat two Atlantics and would have beaten the third had I not f##&ed up a...
Based on what you said here, do your home work and buy a Formula Ford from someone close to you that can also help you with setup, and maintenance, etc. Take it to an SCCA driver's school, and race...
Rumple strips or rumble strips? I am confused....
I know how- really good quality Velcro:D.
Thanks for the clarification, and all the best for Tyler on the left coast:beer::thumbsup:.
45/15(3:1) is a good place to start.
Wait a minute- I thought Busby(Buz light year) bought your car. Now I am really confused:confused:....
Is this the same data collection device that required the 2"x 2" steel plate on the car this season for FB's racing major events?
I think my VD weighed about 1040 before WE went on a diet. The AP aluminum calipers, the light weight battery, and I am 10-15lbs lighter. We're close.
Get one of those small light weight batteries. There are more than one out there.
Also, maybe go to an aluminum floor if the one you have is steel.
Greg,
Thanks for the refund. Consider the matter closed.
Good luck with your future enterprise, and am sure things would be different if we met under different circumstances....
Exactly! Jesus Burky, you're good!:beer::thumbsup:
No, I've spoke with him the entire time, up to the days before I posted this. It was " you're stuff will be ready in two more weeks". Month after month this went on, excuses on finding decent help,...
Very cool... seems to be a little conservative on the RPM's. AND check out the shifter down on the left side...:thumbsup:
As much as I hate writing this post, it has gotten to the point that I feel I have no choice but to put bad business where it belongs.
After running and winning the Saturday event at the PBIR...
Scott is running just under 3:1(2.93). I run a 15/45, which is 3:1, and works at most tracks. Going to a 16 tooth front sprocket would be good when using a 47 or 48 tooth rear, depending on the...
Nice!:thumbsup::beer:
Next generation power?
There was a bug, not sure what kind as he was smashed on the upper right corner of Glenn's diffuser. I could see it plain as day!
You are right Mike, but let's see where this goes. I am standing by these sidepods- when they get finished....
I know. Mine's at home- with no sidepods. Getting new ones, but they're not ready yet. The guy that is doing my work is a perfectionist that does not settle for anything less than 100%.
That's...
We know, you live right up the street!:beer:
good to see my side pods in Florida attached to my car, but there seems to be a problem out on the left coast with people showing up to work.
It seems Governor Jerry Brown has taken this...
Gary is correct as I converted a VD with the help of Jay Novak. Not the only one, and we are all happy car owners. In the beginning of my FB adventure in 2009, I talked to Brandon Dixon about...
Look at the video- There was a waiving yellow. You can see it as he's getting out of the car. Watching this just pisses me off that this can happen.
I concur with Charles. I remember seeing an RT-4 with a Toyota years ago at Sebring, but it was run as an Atlantic. The only one around at the time. I don't know where that car came from. The only...
My car was an '83 RT-5. It looks identical- Beasley body and all, but we ended up converting the car to Honda B-16 power. A project that never grew legs. I ended up selling the car to a lawyer in...
Period.
Beautiful, well thought out clean design!
So....Four FB's registered for the Sebring event. 32 cars in the run group with groups 4 and 5 being combined(FV's, 500 running with FA's and FB's. That's a subject for another thread, but Sebring...
Going to the Sebring regional. Would like to do the Road Atlanta event, but my truck and trailer are going through a lot of maintenance that needs to be addressed. Anyone headed up there from Florida...
Tube frame DSR's started beating CSR's and there wasn't a movement afoot to "cap" speeds from a safety standpoint. But, now there is P1.
Part of me says that the FB ad hoc committee has nothing...
Looks great Juan. As for the Fastrack news, I am hoping for a change as well, but so far haven't heard anything. Not very promising. I also heard a rumor from a reliable source that restrictor plates...
Wha? Huh? I think I've seen one of those before....
Your a poet, you don't know it, but your feet show it- they're Longfellows...
Seriously- you are getting too much time on your hands. Now put a heater in your shop and get to work on that car!
I hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas holiday.
I can't recall exactly what the stock airbox looks like inside, but like most applications doesn't the air filter block all this moisture? I...
I think you can convert MK9 to a MK5 simply by using a MK5 layshaft and gears... It's been a while.
It'll handle more power, but not sure how much.
Well, I managed to score a beautiful brand new 6x20 inch sheet, and now have 10 regulation size 3x4 pieces. Any one want one, I can slip it in an envelope and send it to you...
Can also bring...
I found a 3x3" plate at home depot with a hole in the center for concrete foundation work:confused:. I'm certain it will work, but it's not the right size.
Seriously, I'm having trouble finding...
Too funny!:thumbsup::beer:
I have a lot of aluminum stock of different size and shapes lying around, but found out today after looking around I realized this 3"X4" steel plate is going to be a small pain in the ass to make.
...
Stick it on the inside of one of the rear wing struts- as forward as practical.
Looks like pre '98 Van Diemen?
Well, I guess you don't have to worry about repairing that one...
There's this Canadian guy selling F3 cars on this site that are over in your neck of the woods starting at around 30K.
My point is...if you americans, the first motorsport market, are struggling...you don't wanna know what's going on here...
Yeah, too many Americans don't want to know, but are about to get a...
Nicholas,
You mention this discussion as a solution. My question is, where's the problem? I've mentioned it before, and once again have yet to see anybody kicking any group's ass with any next...
Going to do on or both- depending on work. There is also George in Bill Wald's Stohr, William Falatik at PBIR... I hope I spelled William's name right.
