Rear suspension Q

I may need a new bushing(?) on the lower rear A arm of my 90 Van Diemen. So far, I can't find any info about what to expect when I take it apart. Any help?

I assume your talking about the lower A-Arm, where the monoBall thing is pressed in to the arm?

If so: First, you can probably feel a little bit of play when the car is off the ground. After you remove the nut from the hub stud and disconnect the hub from the A-arm, you'll be able to get to the monoBall. If it's bad, it will spin freely. There's a threaded retainer that holds the monoBall in place, it's got some notches that you'll need to engage to spin it out (it will be obvious what I mean when you see it). I used a piece of flat steel to engage the notches and a big crescent wrench to twist the steel, but I'm sure there's a better tool somewhere.... After that, you'll need to press the monoBall out and press in a new one in. I found a socket that fit just right... It's not a big job, nothing too tough.

I got mine from Pegasus. I bet Averill stuff has them too.

Looks like a "floating" spacer behind the nut, probably to allow for toe adjustment. Did find a worn out ball end on the stabilizer bar, ordered replacement plus spares.
