RALT RT-5 front discs
Does anybody know what the front discs on a '84 ralt rt-5 are off of?
Have been told they are off of stantard VW from that era but unable to locate
The dimensions of the disc are 10" diameter, 3 1/2" bolt circle, and 1 1/2" height from the disc to the top of the hat. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ralt RT-5
My Ralt RT-1 used a (much modified) brake disc from (if I remember correctly) a 70's Audi 100LS, inboard front brake, automatic transmission model.
Car only sold for a few years.
I tried finding stock for someone else 10 years ago without much luck.

If they are VW wouldn't they be metric ? We used a VW stock part on a Wheeler SV, they were free out of their scrap bin.

Ralt
These are a much modified brake disc. Material off of one face, some more from the hib face, pin pattern, etc. The rule only required it come from a part the VW used (Porsche, Audi included). Thus the later RT-5 use of calipers (4-piston?)and brake disc from some other obscure usage.

Don't know if this will help but this shows VW part nos. and pictures. No dimensions unfortunately.

Ralt brake disc
That's fine for VW numbers, but I'm pretty sure it's a modified Audi part.

I used the Audi 100 LS rotors on the Zink FSV and other versions of the Zinks in the late '70's and early '80's. Later I gave up and made aluminum hats and simple flat rotors to replace the Audi parts.
If you can't find the proper rotors, you might give Richard Pare, ICP, a call. He can certainly make a substitute. He has blank rotors cast that can be made to fit a lot of applications.
