Lucas Oil Raceway (IRP) road course lives! Maybe.
Per an Autoweek article, the motorsports complex west of Indy is slated for up to $10 million in renovations, including long-term plans to revive the vaunted 15 turn road course. Great news for anyone who loved the fast, sweeping and yes, dangerous track. I would speculate that the new front straight will have to bypass the drag strip, as they are now pampered like the greens at Augusta. I could even understand if they change the scary turn 1, maybe into a right-left-right combo like Imola's Tambourello corner. In any form, I'll take it.
It will always be "IRP" to me

Had some great days there but the article indicates the priority of the projects:
1. Oval
2. Drag Strip
3. Road Course
I am not optimistic...
