I've pulled apart my LD200 to replace the output shaft seals. I'm also replacing the o-rings for the clutch slave. As long as I'm in there, what else should I check?
Second, what is the ideal lash for the R&P? Hewland specifies not less than 5 mils, but gives no maximum. I'm running about .007 right now.
Just curious, how long do most of you go between complete rebuilds? These boxes appear to be built incredibly stout and with the low HP we put through them I can't imagine them needing a rebuild often.

You're right, they are built well. However, there are a couple of things which will get them. Low oil...make sure there is at least a qt or more. Also, something I found out the hard way-red loctite the reverse detent screw in. Mine came out, broke the cotter keys off and proceeded to destroy the ring/pinion and all the bearings. I found out after that this happens more than we know. The clutch slave should be rebuilt every time you change an engine. Its no fun to split the bell housing an hour before qualifing (or a race) because the o rings wore out.
