Cockpit Control System for F1000

We have been refining the kit for sometime. I think it is finally ready to display and start to provide additional information if anyone has any questions. We have made the attempt to provide a cost effective and well designed kit to make the cockpit a little less cluttered as well as add some cool features to moto based racecars. Super cool. Tell us more about those paddles...

Looks great, but it's to form an opinion with so little information. Is it just a steering wheel with paddles? Or a whole system that includes gear changing, RPM matching, etc.? Does it cost $200 or $5,000?

We created them to work with the Pingel electric shifter kit. We've added the clutchless downshift capability to the original kit. Everything is machined out of 6061 aluminum. We have also fitted bearings at the rotation point of the paddles to keep everything moving smoothly. The electric shifter can be fitted with the original manual stick as well, in case of a electrical malfunction while racing. The pictures show the kit wired to the cableless quick release by SPA. We also wired the Aim computer to the same cabling. We created a mount for the Aim to work with the Momo steering wheel instead of the more expensive wheel provided by Aim. It also provides more room in the cockpit since the steering wheel is about 1-1.5 inches smaller that the Aim wheel. Everything has been anodized to provide a clean finish. We should have pricing information on our new website within the next week or so.

We have not finalized pricing for the parts just yet. But it should be in the $2000 to $2500 range depending on the options chosen for upshift and dowshift. The Aim mount excluding the Momo steering wheel is only $75. Everything else in the pictures are just standard parts.

I had a Pingle on my car when we 1st built it and soon realized that I want to be 100% sure a gear change occured when the button was pressed- but it did not always work. I'd say it worked 95% of the time which in my mind was not good enough. I like the manual paddle system like you see on the Stohr.

Do you know what version of the Pingle you were using and what model of engine you had installed? Did you also have the downshift module as well?

Don't know the version but it did have all the bells & whistles. It was installed on a GSXR. I purchased it new from Pingle about 2 years ago.

Do you know the model year of the GSXR engine?

We actually competed with a Stohr DSR this weekend that used the Pingel electronic shifting system without and shifting issues. They have been using the system for quite sometime and have found that it is a consistent and stable platform for a reasonable price. They are not using a pddle shifter type assembly, but are using the buttons mounted on the steering wheel with great success.

what is the true, installed weight of that pingel kit? I'm seeing around 10 pounds on the internet.

I'm also seeing that it is drawing 30-40 amps while shifting, did you have to run a bigger battery?

Did you ever finalize your system and get in working in your car? If so, what are your impressions?
