Could not ask for a more exciting Season Opener for the Miller's Oil Formula 1200 series.
Race #1, run under wet conditions Mosport track, highlighted the wet driving skills of Jesse Ward. Jesse, starting in second place, would jump into the lead in Lap 4, holding off the 2015 Champion Phil Wang to take his first F1200 Win. Jesse would be followed across the finish line by Phil Wang in 2nd, and Guy Bellingham in 3rd.
Race #2, had the sun come out and provide a dry track for race time. The story of this race would be Matt Garwood, starting in 5th position, Matt would jump to 3rd position early in the race and by the midway point Matt would be Challenging for the lead. Phil would show why he is champion, jumping into the lead right off the start and never looking back, crossing the finish line .8 seconds ahead a Matt. Jesse ward would round off the top 3 for his second top 3 finish of the day.
Congratulations to all the drivers for an excellent opening day. Race 3 goes tomorrow morning to finish off the opening weekend.

What can you say, Sunday in Early May at Mosport brought out the Sun, Rain, Wind, Hail, and Snow, all before the final race of the weekend for the F1200.
Race 3 saw Phil Wang starting from the Poll position. Phil drove a flawless race maintaining the lead from start to finish. All the action was behind the 73 Car of Phil. That's where we found Barrett Kingsborough, Matt Garwood, Jesse Ward and Bill Mitchell fighting it out for the final 2 podium positions. In the end it was Barrett crossing the line in 2nd followed by Bill, with both Matt and Jesse right on his tail.
A great weekend overall, a special call out to all the drivers to braved the ever changing weather conditions.
Next up the Canadian Historic Grand Prix.
