I am happy it appears everyone survived the test days, you can't know what caused all the yellows on race monitor.
Here again I haven’t seen times... but did hear towards the end that Scaler was quickest. Is that right?
His is one sweet car, and very low profile. Many beautiful chassis here.
It is a great looking car, I love the paint job. I believe it was a lowly cheap scorpion he bought off here, put some work into it, changed the name to a Scaler and put in pole at indy a couples months later (until tech moved him back a bit). He is on top the usual Whitstons Farnham Abbotts. I wish they were doing video like they usually do for qualifying, at least you can see which guys are running together.

I’ve talked with people all week about our potentially doing an arrive-and-drive, and have been *really impressed* with everyone’s time and open dialog. Vee guys are the greatest, though I pretty much knew that.
Are you coming to watch, Brian? It’s a mere 772 miles, we came about 2,600 over 18 days for an average speed of well over 5.9 mph.

The Scaler car started off as a Predator in 1987 driven by Pete Pires. Pete narrowed it and put the rear trailing arms on it, winning many races with it in the late 80s. Pete retired and the car sat for many years. After Pete passed, the car resurfaced and Alex started running it. Alex has updated the car since, but retained Pete's #79.
Thanks Greg, pretty impressive that such an old car can be made competitive — though bet it took a *ton* of work.

Day two (Wed) was much slower, weather perhaps? Laps 2 & 3 were very slow, some issue...
Well, except for A. Whitson that managed the only sub 17 second time to sit on the pole after two sessions. One more round this afternoon and we'll be set.

The FV race is scheduled for 3pm Saturday afternoon.
Congratulations to Andrew Whitson on his 3rd* runoffs victory. Race was completed under caution, marring what looked to be a nice battle to come between Whitson and Scaler (2nd pl). 3rd was Andrew Abbot. If I got this right, Abbot had a tire going down and pitted for a tire change from Dad and still managed a podium finish. That must be a first in FV if not in all of runoffs history.
Not a good day for some of our friends. I'm not sure why but there were a lot of off track incidents. Perhaps the track was a bit less grippy for the Vee race. I heard it mentioned that when the sun came out the track got slick.
Early laps had a four car group at the front, of Andrew Whitson, Scaler, Farnham, and Steve Whitson. Incidents knocked Steve W out of the race and Farnham (defending champ) back to 17th. Farnham made up quite a bit finishing 8th.
