Mystery Wheels - Who can identify?

OK all you ApexSpeed experts. Does anyone recognize these wheels? They are beautiful, in mint condition (probably recently redone, including polished rims. They are 13" x 5.5" with vintage FF bolt circle (3 3/4"). Don't know the offset. Stamped on the inside rim of each wheel (pictured below) is "13 x 5 1/2 JJ IND Argentina."

What say you?

70's or 80's South American F3?

Sterling Mag ?
Greg Sorrentino sold some from Argentina called that, but I don't recall exactly what they looked like.

That would be my guess. I used some on the Zink Z10s.

Throw them away - total junk. The club even banned them at one point back in the '80's. Made from old Chevy intake manifolds, and prone to breaking.

Definietly Sterling mags from Sorrentino, He owned Different Drummer Racing out of Troy Michigan.

I had a set on my Lola 340.

Did they hold up OK or break????

They held up fine when I used them with slicks. I am sure that vintage tyres would not load them as hard.

Frank and Keith, I loved those wheels! I painted them gold. Never knew where they came from. Gary Wittzenberg ran out of that shop (Sea Burial Special) and then a fender car.
Having said that, after so many races they made me nervous, along with the rest of the tired 340 suspension. Still love that car Frank.

Here are the wheels at Mid-Ohio Can-Am weekend 1979, I had the race won with 2 laps to go before throttle linkage broke. It was ok, one of the best races the car ran. Pretty funny that I am in the reflection of a picture that is 38 yrs old.
