Argo JM14(b) or Royale RP39 info wanted

Hello there,

I'm looking for other owners or people who know or have information about the Argo JM14 aka Royale RP39 FormulaFord2000 cars.
I have two cars, one is a 1983 regular JM14 and the other is an 'extended' 1984/1985 JM14b.

Any information is more then welcome,

I had one of these for a while. I did not like the orientation of the rod ends on the upper front suspension to upright joints, in that they limited the amount of steering lock available. There were spacers on the steering rack to limit the steering range so that the rod ends would not be broken. As a result, extreme oversteer recovery was limited. This not supposed to be a problem, but sometimes it is needed.

Did you have the JM14 or the longer JM14b version ?
When looking at both chassis I see thee is some difference on the front end specifically to make room for bigger shocks

I am sorry to say that I responded incorrectly to your inquiry. The vehicle I owned was an Argo JM17 (serial # 114, I think). My description therefore is not applicable to your inquiry.

Unfortunately Alan does not have anything about the Argo JM14.
