Going crazy trying to find this stupid part.......
I would have thought this was going to be easy. I was very wrong.
I don't know if I'm asking too much, looking in the wrong places, I just don't know and I'm turning to you guys for any help.
I am modifying my fuel filler cap on my Lola T202. At present, it has a radiator type cap on the rubber neck of the fuel cell that I strongly suspect was/is OEM from Lola back in 1971.
I added a 6inch piece of fuel hose, 1-1/4" ID as an extension so I can see when the tank is full without having a second spotter with a flashlight.
I have the old filler cap on and it works but I want to add a spin on cap.
I am looking for this or something close to it...

I need it to be an outside diameter of 1-1/4 inches so I can slip it into the fuel hose and clamp it.
I can find them 1-1/2" OD all day but none in the smaller 1-1/4" size.
I have no access to a lathe or I would just spin one up myself. If anyone wants to do that for me, I will pay them.
Please help........
Thanks, I will check......

I THINK it came from fuel safe years ago
they have a vintage FF cell on website with that size neck, maybe they still make them
I did go there looking months ago, but no luck then, perhaps I'll try again.
I hadn't thought of that, funnily enough.......

If you google map his house and my house, we are exactly 1/2 mile apart. Google maps says it will take a whole 10 minutes to walk but I will be climbing a whopping 23 feet in elevation! Thanks for that heads-up, I will blame it on "Cranial Flatulence"

Problem solved, thanks everyone........
I was trying to solve this with a one step solution. After considering all the above suggestions, I combined them all into a very workable solution that can be done in two steps.
First, buy the 1.5" threaded fitting with fuel-proof cap from "Filler Neck Supply", one hit on the Visa card.
Second, walk the 2500 (OK, 2500 steps...) to Glenn Taylor's shop with the 23' elevation change, weld on 1.25" extension to fit my fuel hose, ("We do it all the time...") one hit on the wallet or liquor store for 6-pack, maybe both.
As my much better half Su is so fond of pointing out to me, "It's only the merely obvious you have a problem with...."
