SOLD!
Does that mean you'll still be racing Mike? :)
By far the best, cleanest DB-6 around.. Beautiful and all the go fast bits.
I've seen this car up close and it is perfect, and if I had the mojo, it would already be in my garage..
Good luck with the sale Mike.
regards,
Bob
here is another good look at it..
Mike, sorry to hear that you are selling, I know how much you love this car, it has treated you pretty well.
We have raced against Mike and his DB-6 for many years, sometimes Bill came out ahead, lots if times he didnt. We can attest that this car is as Mike describes, a fully developed, top-notch car that is prepped as nicely as any car you will find for sale.
Best of luck with the sale Mike.

I hope there's another FF in your future, racing is something that once you get into, you don't want to stop.
If only I were racing at the Runoffs! I'm just working with my Dad this year, but thanks :)
Best of luck Mike!
Meg
Mike- Nice car and knowing you I am sure it is put together right.I was wondering if the colors in the paint scheme are a statement of any kind?In Texas we would say that car is "purdy"
If I recall correctly, the colors are a tribute to Mike's Pro Toyota Atlantic Swift, painted in those same colors by PPG to show off their paints, something along those lines.
There is a famous picture of the Atlantic at Montreal that maybe Mike will share with us.:D
Tom,
didn't you once refer to the green color as 'seafoam'? I couln't find the previous posts, but the piant scheme was discussed some time ago. It is 'different'
You hyenas have your fun. Now,....all of you guys that have seen the car in person can thank me for wiping your drool off of it and NOT sending you a bill for the paper towels and rubber gloves!
I like the color scheme. Will you be including the matching helmet?

The car is sold. I will leave it to the new owner to share specifics if he wants. I will say that the new owner will be an asset to the class and will fit right in with the great group of guys and girls in FF. I also think you will see this car at the front of the grid where it belongs as it's going to a very capable driver.
Mike, thank you for the kind words. What a salesman...
I am the proud and excited owner of Mike's magnificent DB-6 (sorta like Christmas when we were kids). I can only hope I will do it justice. I have alot to learn, so you'll likely be seeing posts from me asking questions. I hope it doesn't take me too long to figure out whose answers I should disregard.
The car will remain in the northeast. I'll probably run a few regionals first, so I can figure out how to turn it on and off, change gears ratios, stuff like that, and then run a few nationals before taking on the Pro Series. I look forward to new friendships and intense competition.
regards,
Michael Hausknecht :D
The burning question that everyone wants answered is: Will you retain the classic paint job?
Congratulations on your purchase.
congrats on the awesome car!
Michael, congratulations on the buy. won't be hard to do it justice as fat boy let it turn into a hangar queen
i see looking back that Tom's request for the FA pic went unanswered. i believe this is because Mike doesn't want to soil his reputation by displaying his utter lack of attention to detail by displaying the unmatched sidepod bottom paint.
Thanks guys.
My sweetheart is a bit of a visual artist, clothing designer, and all around artsy chick. About the current paint job, she says: "It is so late '80s". She then says: "You're going to paint it, aren't you?" So, there you have it.
regards,
Michael Hausknecht
Good luck with the new ride Mike.
Are you keeping the SRF too?
Regards,
Joe
What's wrong with the late 80's?
so now you're officially a was
.
Thanks Joe. I'm keeping the SRF. I'll finish installing a fresh motor and tranny this weekend, and my shiny new intake tube. Mike insists that after I drive the Swift, the SRF will gather dust. I guess we'll see. Without the SRF Pro Series this year, I think the N.E. Division SRF nationals are going to be very competitive this year.

Lenny, didn't I see this hanging lonesomely in your spare bedroom closet when I stayed at your house last year...
