That is similar to where I have mine mounted currently, however I've done some wind tunnel testing (yarn, fan & lea blower), I have confirmed that this is a very low air flow area.
I'm thinking it would be better to relocate the cooler (mine is smaller than what is in the above picture) to in front or behind of the rear shock or maybe behind the tranny.
Or going back to stock oil cooler location inside the fan shroud. I'm not a fan of this but it would likely work better than my current remote location.

I can't speak for every club, but, if you're going to run a Vee with any club that uses Monoposto rules, remote coolers aren't legal.
You have to run a stock, vertical Type-1 cooler mounted in the stock location (on the case, inside the fan shroud).
"Lubricating System:
3: ...The lubrication system may be modified to facilitate installation of the filter, except the standard oil cooler shall be retained in place."
"Cooling System:
3: Only the standard oil cooler is permitted. No external oil cooler."
With a working fan, cooling doesn't seem to be much of an issue in vintage Vees.

I had very good luck with a stock cooler and augmenting the oil cooling with a scoop the passed air under the engine. I made finned oil sump extension and the scoop would flow the air across the pan and the extension.
