Fun Weekend In Australia
We had an exciting weekend of racing in Australia a couple of weekends ago. Link to a race-sart incident at Wakefield Park in New South Wales, and another at Sandown in Melbourne, Victoria.
Both cars were the same model from one manufacturer, and in both instances, the drivers of the cars thanked the builder for building an incredibly safe Formula Vee. Only minor injuries were sustained.
The Formula Vee in the second incident finished over the barrier after bouncing off the tyre wall. Photos will be posted soon.

In the first vid the workers did a heck of a job getting to the car quickly. It looks like less than 10 seconds from the time the car stopped moving until someone was talking to the driver.

Pack trailing safety cars do have their advantage. Makes for a very fast response for those start line and turn 1 dramas.
Something that certainly could be discussed with your local region and or track operations personal.

More pictures of the Sandown crash.
The driver was Morgan Mutch, and the car was the current model Jacer.

I'll post a picture of Morgan's final resting place OVER the barrier soon.
