Bead seat project
Hello everyone, just took the Mazda out for the first time last weekend to Rd Atlanta
and found out very quickly that I need a bead seat. ( Got tossed around like a little
rag doll ) Anyway I was wondering if anyone down in the southeast ( I am in the
Birmingham, Al. area ) has done one and would be willing to share some valuable
advice? Maybe the best place to get one to start with and all the things NOT to do
and of course the correct procedure.
Also anyone who has run Barbers Motorsport in one of these I would like to speak
to you about gear selection and any possible setup quirks anyone would be so kind
as to help out a Newbie!
I LOVE the car but was so rushed getting to the track, picking up the car the weekend
before it was just a blur of work, rush, hurry up for a week and a half so we didn't
make the showing we would have liked but we did show! The car was an absolute
blast and is way faster than anything I have ever piloted before. The G's were more
than I had bargained for as well. It brought to mind the ole dirt bike racing days
when you had to keep that two stoke motor up on the pipe so to speak, so my right
hand by the end of the weekend was begging for mercy from all the shifting. But
all in all the weather was great, all the folks that I got to meet were great plus we
made it thru the weekend and brought it home safe!!
Thanks,
John:trophy_silver:

Pennon Composites has everything you need and instructions come with the package. The one thing you'll need is a good vacuum.

Lots of good posts on this subject.
Best to do with some help, take your time and you'll have a fantastic seat.

Hey John.
Let me know when you get ready to do it. I've got a kit in the shop just waiting to get my nerve up to give it a try!

George,
Hey been fortunate enough to get to talk to Brandon Dixon and he has done
a few of them so, I'll let you know for sure soon as I know when the project is
gonna happen.
You know you need to just save that beaded seat of yours, sell that KBS and
buy yourself a NOVAKAR 360 that way you could beat Clint!!!!!!
I'M JUST SAYING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you might want to contact Bruce Lawrence or Sam Lockwood or Jim Coman in Tallassee Alabama. All have been a big help to me and all do mostly exclusively Formula Mazda.
