You're in the UK and don't know what a Formula Ford is? You must be a young guy.
Formula car, no wings small tires, powered by a 1600 Kent motor as found in a Cortina, Current models could use a Ford Zetec in UK or Honda Fit in the US.
perhaps the original poster intended to include a photo of a car, and was asking "is this a formula ford?"
I was hoping that until I saw it was under general discussion, but maybe he couldn't figure out how to post a photo.

Are you trying to post the example image used by wikipedia? It is a unique looking car with the radiators behind the engine like that.

Looks like a Mk30 Merlyn. My first and most forgettable race car. It did teach me a lot about car control though.
