I am unsure whether I will attend the scca event at Blackhawk in a few weeks. Regardless, this will be my first winter in the car and I need to drain out the water. I tried to pull it out via the radiator cap area, but as you all probably know you can't get a tube down far enough to do the job.
So, where do you drain the water for the coolant system?

Maybe disconnect bottom hoses on rads...
Will this get all the water out of the engine? I really don’t want to crack the motor….I worry just opening the radiator lower hose will only drain the radiator and not the internal channels of the motor?

So, if the block and cooling system are near empty it shouldn't break even if it freezes.
